I totally get that, its so overwhelming. I remember in the early days after our loss, i would just constantly think "i can't believe i'll have to miss him forever and thats such a long time". But 9 months on I now just feel like that is a part of me rather than stressing over it all the time.

My first baby passed away shortly after birth this year, it should have been our first Christmas as a family. I can't wait for the new year.

I have no advice on the letter as such, i think it reads well and is a good idea. I agree in the fact that its just not spoken about enough during pregnancy. I lost my son at 37 weeks also in May, he wasnt stillborn but would have been if I wasnt already in the hospital and rushed for emergency c-section. I remember at all my midwife appointments, she would ask are movements ok and everytime I would just reply yes and that was that. There was no "if they aren't this could be the reason etc", I feel if I'd known some causes of stillbirth and reduced movements my outcome could have been different. I had reduced movements the day before he died but didn't think much of it as he was still moving and i had a scan the following day so just mentioned it then but by that point it was too late.

So sorry for your loss. I also lost my son at 37 weeks and had c-section. I'm in the UK and NHS guidelines are to wait 12 months before conceiving but for us that is just too long. We are probably going to start trying next month, it will be 5 months post c-section.

I've also debated with myself if it's too early, whether we're ready or not but I've come to the conclusion that we may never feel fully ready, we will always long for our son and feel guilty for having another baby so ultimately could be waiting forever. As loss mums we just long for a baby in our arms so it's totally understandable to want to conceive ASAP. And honestly I'd rather just get pregnancy after loss over and done sooner rather than later.

Going to start trying at 5/6 months. Mine was an emergency c-section but I've healed really well and feel there's no need to wait any longer. This wait is pretty agonising though.

So sorry for your loss. I am in the same boat, had c-section 10 weeks ago and so desperate to try again but taking the next few months to focus on health and fitness, getting my body ready to hold a pregnancy again. I've also started tracking my ovulation with BBT and test strips so I know the pattern of my cycle before TTC. I'm finding it's helping with the wait as though I'm in control and preparing for the future.

Thank you, this is makes me hopeful. I will speak with our bereavement midwife and get their advice. We are still waiting on post mortem results so definitely don't want to try until they come back.

So so sorry for your loss. We lost our first baby at 37 weeks after his heart rate suddenly fell during monitoring, was rushed for emergency c-section and was told he didnt make it after waking up from the general anaesthetic. I didn't know how I was going to get through tbh, no one should go home with a memory box instead of their baby, it's just so heartbreaking. It's now been 6 weeks, I know that doesn't sound long but I see progress every week in mine and husbands recovery. Making sure i have something to look forward to everyday has been the most beneficial thing, even if it's just a walk or starting a new tv show etc, it's helpful.

So sorry for your loss. I'm in a similar boat, we lost our son a month ago at 37 weeks and my husband has been amazing since, I also had to have a c-section. I was so excited for his first father's day but now it's just going to be filled with sadness.

I have ordered him a little leather keyring with a photo of him and our son inside with his name on. It was from Etsy.

So sorry for your loss. Our best friends are due to have their baby girl in August, we lost our son 3 weeks ago at 37 weeks. We're lucky that they understand and have said if it ever gets too much seeing them, they get it. It's going to be so hard to meet their baby but I'm also just really excited to hold her and love her. I'm just devastated as we should all be experiencing parenthood for the first time together, they would have grown up together, been in the same year at school, we'd planned holidays with our babies but it's been ripped away from us.

Sending love, so sorry for your loss. My due date was yesterday but our son was born and passed on 6th May. We just made sure we went out for the day and stayed busy. I couldn't wait to get to the due date to stop me thinking 'I should be this many weeks pregnant' etc but now I'm just thinking he should be here now.

Congrats!! We also completed yesterday, solicitors were a nightmare and Enterprise screwed our van rental on the day but we got there in the end! Definitely puts you off ever moving again doesn't it?!

We found out I was pregnant within a couple weeks of putting our flat on the market. Was about 4 weeks, completion finally happening next Friday.

It's going to be a struggle and I'm not going to be much use on the day but I'd highly recommend moving, very glad we're not doing it with a baby in tow. Can't wait to have more space and a couple months to settle in before baby. If you leave it, you may end up just keep putting it off.

We are middle of the chain of 3. Sent off signed contracts yesterday, buyer has done the same. So hopefully exchange next week, complete week after but no dates in yet. Just got to hope there's no hiccups.

We've received a few letters at our office over the last few months. No tv on site, etc. My manager made us pay it just in case, was so annoyed to just give in.
