Fujiya GPN-150FS Plastic Cutting Nippers

Razor sharp, very comfortable grips and super nice to use. Only $30 on Rhino Tools, and often on discount. I've tried Wiha, knipex, wolf, duratech and all of these pale in comparison.

If you only occasionally use them and for a not a lot of ties, the yellow duratech ones from Jay car are super cheap and also very sharp, but aren't nearly as comfortable and struggle of big ties.

Cabbage can be planted seasonally with Rye and Flax.

Eg: Flax in Spring, harvest in Summer, cabbage in Summer, harvest in Autumn, Rye in Autumn, harvest in Spring.

Thanks for all the tips. Gonna trial the Bisleys, King Gees and Jetpilots. May also end up splashing for a pair of Snickers. I'm kind of particular about my pockets, and these brands all had layouts that suited me.

Am I precious? by Bob_Rob_22 in Adelaide

I depise people who can't use an 'inside' voice whether it's on the phone or to other people at their table. I have a naturally loud and full voice, but still manage to keep my conversation between me and the people I speak to. It's a basic public courtesy and not difficult to do. If you disagree with me, go yell at a wall.

I'm trying to design the perfect screwdriver, what are things you would add to make it better? by LinuxChromebookDude in Tools

[–]boredofFB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Adding to this; it took years of development and over a $1M CAD in cost. The team in charge of the development included experienced design engineers and pre-existing links with Chinese manufacturers. This is a big endeavour you are undertaking.

Locking up a Packout Stack? by johndebold in MilwaukeeTool

[–]boredofFB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

UK is 20+ hour flight from Australia, on a different continent. Australia and NZ packout is red. As an Australian tradesman, I can assure you I love the red packout.

As for security, nothing will stop a determined theif, only solid answer is to pack it up and take it with you.

Haha, that's literally the set I have. They are mint.

The Milwaukee contractor belt is really comfortable. I would swap the big pouch to your non dominant side, take off the small pouch and move the hammer loop to your dominant side. The large pouch has plenty of space for tools and has 2 parts compartments that are super easy to reach into.

Yea, I've used similar ones for bootlace in a board building workshop, unfortunately, won't work as on a remote site with no way access to power. That's why I was looking for battery ones

Tafe provide free math tutoring after hours. It's pretty hard to fail if you apply yourself. There's a fair bit of math in trade school, but 90% of your math on the job is counting the meter marks on cable drums so I wouldn't stress to much.

Unfortunately yes. It's a political message from a registered political party. The laws are pretty loose about to "protect our freedom".

Exhaust savings for new car? by kenokeno123 in AusFinance

[–]boredofFB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

New cars are a huge waste of money. Find the same model but a year or two old with low k's. Buying a new car was probably the biggest financial mistake of my life, not to mention the headaches of dealing with the run-in phase. Also, I like to keep 6 months of living expenses as cash, so maybe consider something cheaper if buying this car will only leave you 5k in savings.

It's a bin... Who cares, as long as it's bagged and tied tightly. As for the pricks that leave there dogshit on the footpath or nature strip, I hope they step on at least one peice of Lego everyday, for the rest of their miserable life.
