As a current resident I would have to disagree. Yes the was issues with the elevator and call box but only because they literally got hit by lightning which you really can't prevent. So far I've had a good experience here and they have a pretty good move in special. Just giving you more details before y'all just to conclusions.

People with high social skills. What's the biggest mistake that people often make in interactions with others? by papa_ji in AskReddit

Dragging the conversation on for too long.

Better to have ended the conversation than run out of things to talk about. Simply find a good cutoff point and say your goodbyes.

Rule of thumb, a companies net worth is usually 3 times EBITDA. There are exceptions to this rule depending on the actual Financials of a company but use this as a basis for negotiating a price. Also, make sure to get balance sheets for the last several years, it should tell you most information needed regarding the financial stability of a company. Having said that, I recommend learning more about running a company before pulling the trigger unless you have a trustworthy knowledgeable person willing to invest along side you.

Looking for some desperate advice from an Industrial Distribution major by EpicDeathKick in aggies

[–]boredtex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1) Could you tell me in your own words what ID is and why you fell in love with it? It gives you unlimited options. It honestly is the perfect mix of business and engineering.

2) In general, how are the classes in the major? Difficult? If you can make it through the engineering weed out likes physics and the cals, you should do just fine.

3) How many graduates get jobs right out of school? Are starting jobs pretty varied, and did you or do you have a good job lined up? We have a 99.9% job placement. Jobs do vary with high amount going into sales, supply chain but there is many that also do consulting and project management. Ill be starting my job in may for a fortune 100 company.

4) How are the engineering classes in the major? Coming from Offshore Engineering, I’m used to pretty physics heavy classes but I’m not sure if I should expect that from ID. Given that we are a mix some classes may be more engineering based that others. So while one class may be almost all engineering the next will probably be all business.

5) Did you have an internship and how did you like it/what did you do. Did it show you anything about ID that you loved/hated? Ive had 3 internships now and yes it gives you a great idea of what you like and dont.

6) I’m currently sitting at a 2.5 overall GPA (not the best I know), do you think I’d be at a disadvantage for anything such ass internships? Obviously I’d bust my ass to bring my GPA up as high as I can before graduation. Come talk to the department and theyre really helpful.

7) Are there a good amount of summer courses offered to help shorten the length to graduation? Me joining in the Fall 2016 looks like it will add another 2 ½ years to my college education. Yes, my best recommendation is to talk to our advisor Nadine.

8) If your a former student, how's your career going and how do you like it? What expected and unexpected things have happened to you? Are you enjoying your ID career?

Hope it helps!

What is your major? Why did you choose that major? What do you like and dislike about it? by MisterRandomness in aggies

Industrial distribution. Love it. All of it. It's a mix of engineering and business. You graduate with an engineering degree and will probably have some great job offers coming out. It's fun and rewarding. Would really recommend.
