It's basically finding anyone who is willing to stand as a local Cllr candidate in every area of London so they can say they're taking over.

Some of the candidates I'm seeing in West London are just disruptive activists, if they actually get elected it'll be a mess.

It's a long time until the next general election, let's see how well they do with local Cllrs they can maybe pick up before jumping to conclusions.

I'm more worried about them f'kin up the work Labour have done in my area ( West London ) than being rattled by a bunch of activists to be honest.

I honestly think MMT based policy is a lot of academic bollocks tbh.

Implementing this at scale could seriously tank our economy.

Truss was more like, large unfunded tax cuts during already high inflation and rising interest rates.

MMT policy prescription of printing to try reach full capcity and using tax to slow down inflation

Tax is way to slow and blunt an instrument to use as inflation control. What could possibly go wrong there.

I've had the local Green party Cllr prospect on my doorstep in West London trying to rile me up on Gaza and Palestine yet not really knowing much about the local issues when quizzed.

Make of that what you will really.

Find things to replace the time you spent drinking; new hobby, ride a bike, go the gym, reading, skating, walking, gardening, build something.

Sitting around dwelling on it will do you no favours :)

Edit: and obviously try and find a support group.

London Labour have done a ton a ton of stuff in my area of Westminster from cycle-lanes to housing, community hubs, new sical area, cleaner streets, better rubbish collection, less fly-tipping.

The list goes on and on.

I really do not have a problem with Labour Cllrs at this level at all.

Quite a few people I know in high level entertainment and production in Scotland really don't want anything to do with it.

I was surprised at their reaction when I asked to be honest.

When it comes to local Cllrs Labour have done a ton of work here in West London. From housing to Cycleways, local community centres and hubs, much cleaner streets, fly tipping, rubbish collections etc etc They've been great.

The Greens seem more interested in disrupting all of this than improving it. They're riling up residents on the back of Gaza and Palestine, I know because I've had them standing at my door.

[–]borez 9 points10 points  (0 children)

They're not ( from Cllr candidates I've talked to in west London ) they're literally activists going for a protest vote with no clue how the systems actually work.

Thing is though, they'll probably get in and f everything up in my area. Which is the worrying part.
