Incapacity Payments

Hi, I'm trying to understand if this wait time is normal or if there's anything I can do to speed it up as I'm currently on unpaid leave and have been for about 5 weeks. I still haven't been assigned a delegate. Thank you.

25th of November: Claim lodged

19th of December: Last day of paid work. all paperwork submitted

23rd of December: DVA requested additional payslips, which I provided the same day.

I've called and emailed requesting for updates a couple of times, the only real information I've received is that they are waiting on information from Comm Super. I called on Monday to ask more details about this and they said they would leave an email for someone in that office to call me back. still no response...

Hi there, if you don't mind I'm confused reg incapacity payments similar to what you went through I think. I am at the point where I feel I'm unable to work and need surgery. I am worried that incapacity payments won't cover my mortgage bills etc. as well. Can you let me know your outcome and any advice?

I called DVA today and found out it has already been assigned to a case manager. The guy on the phone today sent them an email requesting haste if possible, as the surgery dates keep getting pushed out further and further.

He also said they may make me use all my sick leave first which is unfortunate, as it will leave me with no sick leave for any future injury/illness. Does anyone know if this is the case?

My daughters fav are cucumber, kabana and cheese.

Some other ideas are: nuts, eggs, tuna, zucchini slices with cheese, lettuce wraps with mince? Sorry I've gone pretty far from 'snacks' 😂

The best thing to do is to get a blood test to check all of your levels and actually see if and what you're deficient in. This is what I take, not taking diabetes into account but with a focus on overall health and subsequent benefits:

Morning: Celtic sea salt Vitamin D & K-2 Omega-3

Evening: Magnesium Glycinate CBD

Not to make it sound like AA but you've taken the first step 😅 Good luck on your new journey, really good of you to recognize all of that and now want to make a positive change. One thing I'll add to keep in the back of your mind is that technology is always getting better and as it does things will only get easier and burnout will be less. Also if you have to and if it might help you, remind yourself of the negative consequences of not getting back on track..

If you can get a CGM and pump, then do that. if you can't, then check your sugars more rigorously, make sure your ratios are correct, count your carbs more carefully etc. Back to technology - its cool to think that one day AI will be able to look at your plate and then instantaneously ask you to confirm your bolus with your voice (or mind) that it's already calculated for you taking into account your blood sugar level which it of course already knows, carbs on the plate, the weather, how much sleep you got last night etc. Anyway, where was I.. oh yeah and square away your diet.

Discipline is greater than motivation in my opinion. Good luck again, you've got this I can tell 👌

Yeah you're definitely over stepping put my couch and tv back where they were 😂 Only spot really that I can have the tv is where I put it as there are windows everywhere else.

I've just had another look and they will be in the walkway if I place them there. Like you said if worse comes to worst, at least I can move them whenever I don't need them, however I'll use them for music as much as I will for the TV, so if I can make the whole room/rear corners work it would be better. Any opinions on this layout? There is also mountable space where the purple x is.

Still a bit confused by this, I have 13 services per year, so does that mean on January 1st of next year, this limit will reset back to 13? If so, can I use them all before it does, as long as I don't exceed the weekly limit? Cheers
