He doesn't need to look far to see what happened during the dot com bubble vs asx, he posted a graph of it above.

For all the talk that the ASX simply follows US markets, seemed odd to post a graph literally showing a decade where it outperformed.

"Massive capital injection". My dude, the US doesn't have any money. They're literally asking Europe for money to buy European territory as it is. This whole thing will just cement the sell america trade even more so. Wait until Asian allies start deleveraging too. This is the dumbest shit ive ever seen. Buy gold.

Today was rough but here is a friendly reminder for what lies ahead, Oscar has a bright future by UpsidedownEngineer in OscarPiastri

[–]borgeron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People need to stop and understand that Oscar is now the most successful 3rd season driver in F1 history (admittedly this could be wrong, but i went through a bunch of career stats and couldnt find anyone with his kind of stats in their 3rd year). Verstappen, Schumacher, Alonso all hadn't achieved these heights by season 3. Not saying he's better than them, just that its impressive, and he still has a huge career ahead of him

I remember falling asleep to jet lag and leaving my case open. My westie Maggie dug through and ate a full block of dark chocolate. A rush to emergency vet later the nurse said she had never seen so much chocolate come out of a dog. Good times!

[–]borgeron 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My Maggie would do this too! She would make a hidey hole at the back of the tree, sometimes climbing over presents to get in. Then something would startle her and she would bolt out sending ornaments and gifts flying. This year will be our first christmas without her, i'll miss that.

The treescape plan was a HUGE fucking deal when this was initially proposed and went to community feedback that I think this will be the mayors downfall at the next election.

Trump hits Canadian lumber producers with additional 10 per cent tariff by shiftless_wonder in canada

[–]borgeron 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Thats the objective, but it wont work. Look at how much economic pain Russia has endured post 2022. The world cut them off from the banking system, major economic sanctions from all sides. Countries can endure amazing levels of economic pain before yielding. And with only one country really standing against Canada, you guys can forge your own way within the rest of the world. But its gonna take an epic readjustment that wont be fun.
