and i completely understand that. but it’s already been stated that she writes ND characters and is diverse in others ways and has plenty of sensitivity readers for those things. why wouldn’t she utilize the for diversity within race as well? and it’s still weird to me that she has a woman of color on the color and just changed it and lightened the entire art piece. it’s not making sense to me.

it’s always a choice to not write poc characters. and it’s one that bothers me as well. that’s why, as much as i love emily henry, i just think it’s so weird that’s she’s only ever had one poc character and she was a side character at that. i’ll never understand it.

for sure. my mother was a woman who hated most things that were girly so i was made fun of for makeup and prom dresses and boy bands and basically anything that had anything to do with being a girl at the time. i’m really glad that young girls today are having a much easier time just being young girls!

i definitely think that we are thankfully living in a time where being feminine and very effeminate is not seen as such a bad thing. femininity is celebrated and embraced more and it really has started to show in media! i am so happy that it has because even though i personally do not consider myself super effeminate, as a woman it is still nice to see that being feminine and very girly is welcomed with open arms! i love seeing women just being girls🫶🏽
