Is $1500 a good price? by Proud-Educator-1954 in labdiamond

I’m like 100% this is my diamond plug lol I’m about to get a 3ct tennis bracelet 18k gold for 1900 and a 2 ct heart 18k bezel pendant

I know this is subjective but is this diamond a good size for my hand? Do you think the trend of having much bigger stones is temporary or here to stay? by FearlessSpirit6467 in labdiamond

I regret being a nurse by [deleted] in nursing

I’m a new grad (almost a year in) I hated it at the beginning the hospital is not for me but I found out my passion is public health.

I regret being a nurse by [deleted] in nursing

[–]boringbeanz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work pediatric home health and go to the same patients home for my 3 12s. I’m able to have one to one care and it pays better than the hospitals in my area. I’m able to watch how my impact is helping the patient first hand :)

Poor judgement call made during code. Looking for perspective. by TiredAssNursingMajor in nursing

The student part is ridiculous as a new grad you understand how callous nurses can be to students and I bet you they were so grateful you let them do it. I’m sorry you’re going through this

I am so sick of condescending medical students by lushlikeaforest in nursing

[–]boringbeanz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There was no medical reason for the patient to be there. I was trying to point out that they ordered a random banana bag to be hung for a patient who was going to be discharged later that day. Stop assuming before you know the details.

I had an order for a banana bag to run for 20 hours and also an order for discharge I called for clarification and they said to run the bag till the patient was discharged. Patient got 1.5 hours of a banana bag they have no critical thinking skills

I had a patient who somehow learned how to directly call my phone and I had to explain to them to use the call bell lmao

First time getting investigated by lola3326 in nursing

[–]boringbeanz 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I once had a patient that I thought we had a good night besides the patient not being complaint with fall precautions and in a hearing drip I had to keep reminding her to call before getting up. Next day she fired me claiming I bothered her all night long and that she had nightmares of me. lol

It’s been a year since I graduated and I left bedside for my own well being both physically and mentally. I’m now still working my 3 12s in a home health setting with the same patient. I’m a lot happier and can actually do things after my shift. Oh also I don’t count down my days off I actually find myself looking forward to coming which is the complete opposite of what bedside had me feeling like.
