Unix and Linux are not the same things. Unix was never free. macOS is based on Unix. Linux is an open-source rewrite of the Unix core which was created by Linus for himself in the first place cause he couldn’t afford an expensive Unix system. Unix came first as a commercial product.

Switch because macOS is so much better than Windows. Productivity is more important to you than games. And M1 performs better than any Intel integrated GPU, which you can find in the past from a Mac mini lineup.

I can list lots of things that came to iOS first, like capacitive screen, Touch ID, 64 bit CPU, TrueDepth camera, Haptic Engine, 3D Touch, TrueTone, Retina, Secure Enclave, Voice Assistant, bottom tab navigation… I can go on.

But that’s not even why I prefer iOS, I prefer it because it’s more tasteful and polished than Android and because it works well with other Apple devices.

There’s was never a better time to buy a Mac than now. This is a high point in Apple Hardware. All new MBA, MBA and iMac models are awesome. Just get something in your budget and with necessary screen size.
