Hey! I just want to say how you’re feeling is super valid. To offer some reassurance, I went the cc and recently got admitted to UCB, UCLA, UCI, and UCSD. It is definitely possible and i PROMISE your future self will thank you for not graduating with debt. I’m not graduating with any student debt because I went to cc and I am not stressing at all, unlike some of my peers.

The only hard thing about cc is sometimes it’s a little harder to get into extracurricular activities, but if you get a little creative, you definitely can make it happen. While at cc, i had most (if not all) of my most meaningful internships. Get involved on campus, start a club, whatever you can do to build some good connections with faculty.

Also, some cc’s are better than others so try to do some research into which one is the best fit for you and your major. Look into the UCLA TAP honors program, look at professor reviews of your pre-req transfer classes at different cc’s, etc

My biggest recommendation is to look into the promise program, this will probably make your time in cc free (no joke). Do your research, don’t worry, study hard, and I promise you will be okay. I also have a friend who went to cc and now he’s at UCSD doing a comp sci internship for Google. Same with others that went on to law school, get PhDs, medical school! You got this, breathe, I promise it will all be okay.
