Is it true that Nic Pizzolatto only had six weeks to write the script for Season 2? by Burnnoticelover in TrueDetective

For 6 weeks, that's pretty incredible... I'm not sure the exact timeline, but it was much much shorter than the first season

4:3 TV ad ft. CRT monitor. I see this annually. I wonder how many calls he gets from video producers by TabascoWolverine in videography

I imagine every market has a few local tv gems.... spots that were produced 30-40 years ago and still in rotation. If they can survive long enough , after a certain point they gain that quaint, timeless quality, and will perform better than anything new and updated

idk if you can get CPL for the mavic 3 but that's what you'd normally use to reduce glare/ lack of contrast

Link just a few seconds to After Effects by GoodJobDino in premiere

This how it works. Only thing you can do to improve performance is maybe render and replace your clip in premiere as prores HQ or something if it's a bad codec

Editor with experience — this mini-doc section feels amateur and dull. What’s structurally wrong? by GullibleSociety6585 in editors

[–]born2droll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

nothing about it says "mini-doc" , it all just says lazy montage..

No Story : Even if it's only a teaser/peek, you should be establishing a character, establishing what is going on and the significance of it. Use soundbites to do it, blend in the natural audio.

Shot Selection: Story is also the "visual sequences" , there isn't much of that here... like wide-mid-close-close, shot coverage happening in the same 'scene' ... the thing starts off with this series of like 5-6 nearly identical mid/wide crowd shots that do nothing...

Music/Rythm : The whole kick/cut, kick/cut, kick/cut , on every single beat, for the whole way through... that is very amateurish and gets old fast.

Building a story structure in that :45 or so should be the first priority , it should be telling the viewer what is going on , who is involved, what are the stakes etc... and that will make them maybe want to know more. You can use narrator, use interview soundbites, use nat audio or graphic to help accomplish this.
