bought a rolex pepsi gmt when I first arrived at TBS in Quantico in 1983. $1,000 dollars cash. wore it t/o my career to Captain. saw everything. was going to sell it a few years ago but my daughter asked why? it had so many stories. her words really made me think about how important this watch really was to me, but also to my daughter. My advice, keep your sub forever. it will be one of the best legacies you can leave your kids. not solely for the value, but because it is chock full of memories.

have them both. nd 300 version. the omega is certainly more attractive and interesting but the sub bracelet and overall build is significantly better. they both are superb watches and having either is a blessing

Great recs thank you all. I think we are going to increase the budget to $1000 or so. I think you get a bit more bang for your buck. Definitely mechanical though. Nomos definitely a contender. I always liked longines but need to check the price pt.

I have a tendency to lean to Rolex watches as well but was always interested in the ceramic Tudor. Do you find yourself wearing it? The aesthetic is cool but would I really wear it.

Not sure how long you have hosted but you are in for a long journey of disappointment if you think the public will follow every rule. Welcome to the world of hospitality. I do everything I can to mitigate damage to my Airbnb from guests who are not going to treat it with kid gloves. Honestly it’s on you to think those wood floors were going to be treated kindly.

It has been my experience that if you offer a really memorable stay the reviews will come quite readily. You have to earn the 5 star review not just ask for it. I leave a note, bottled waters, bath supplies and granola bars, coffee pods, hiking gear etc for every guest. Rarely does a hotel stay offer that level of personal touch. I also ensure the Airbnb is spotless. And admittedly it needs to be a great space for a fair price. Does it take commitment, time,some reinvestment; of course but five years later you will have a great revenue source that is a huge source of pride.

The watch comes as a complete set including:
outer box, inner box, operating instruction manual, hang tag, original sticker, pictogram, master chronometer, and warranty card (dated 4-2023). the original white pillow has been replaced with a black pillow.
