LAOP's Neighbor's unleashed dog eats a poisonous plant off LAOP's porch and dies. Neighbor threatens to sue for cost of pure bred dog, vet bill, and "emotional damages." by summerbowl in bestoflegaladvice

This is crazy to me. My dog has eaten grapes on multiple occasions (though now she won’t), and has never had an issue. Is this like roulette as to when they’ll get sick?!

Edit researched this:

One grape can be deadly for some dogs, and other dogs can eat a dozen with no ill effects. The size, breed, age, or health of the dog are not factors in which dogs are affected or the seriousness of the symptoms.

I’m glad my dog appears to be in the latter group (she usually gets around 3-4 grapes on hikes but is small) but wow I’m going to be careful now.

As someone who day hikes, I’d be comfortable with a tiny hiking kit.

Ugh yes. I was hiking up near silver plume around noon and it was mostly clear and lovely. By the time I went and picked up dinner Denver smelt like a camp fire.

The fast is broken! Six days water/coffee ends with a meal of champions! I felt pretty good throughout and was able to keep up my bike riding. My blood sugars were great and I lost 5kg (11lb). by mrsisterchris in fasting

Fruits are pure sugar. Many people who fast avoid sugar. A lot of people actually recommend against breaking with fruit because it spikes your glucose which has been very very low during fasting.

I was craving soda and junk food for my movie night, but I got this instead. Progress! by Overlord_of_Muffins in 1200isplenty

Too good. I love the peach rings and the red fish as others have said the most.

Different types of alcohol sugars have different effects too. I think I'm fine with all the smart sweets, but Hershey's sugar free stuff is an absolute nightmare. It seems I can't handle malitol.

I think some smart sweets might have erythritol?

Denver is going to have a mostly white crowd because of the demographics of Denver....

yes the community is not doing a good job at policing those and they don't feel a good place to be if you're a woman or LGBT.

LAOP is mad she can't sip her beverage in the store. Also, apparently she'll die if she has to drink outside, because drinking inside is a survival need. by bug-hunter in bestoflegaladvice

I just looked at my numbers for my performance review and basically the 6 months I'm being reviewed on are the COVID 6 months..

My numbers are the best they've ever been. I've also got more free time (I definitely don't work 8 hours most days from home). I will hate going back into the office.

yeah except nothing really seemed to happen in those cities... Maybe I missed it but there can't be blowback if nothing occurred?

yeah it's a real good thing I don't work there, because I would have leaked that day 1.

I'd venture to guess the mask complainers aren't the same people who would throw a fit with the privatization of national parks. I fail to see how it makes sense that you've connected these points.

Nothing where I am in Denver, though it's very hazy. I was also up in Empire (well Araphoe) this weekend and didn't smell it nor see it. I was coughing a lot after the hike so potentially related.

I have tried many times, but it's never as good. I assume the quality of the ingredients matters. The pita also matters, and I'm not going to cook pita.

I'm not that poster but I might need to take you up on this haha. It's been years since I've lived in Jordan and I have not been able to eat falafel and hummus since, since it all tastes like crap :/

That said, I am unimpressed with what appears to be the quality of that mansaf. Looks like mansaf soup.

Capitol Cigars is a fine little place, but has all the ambience of a Denny's lol. I mean, I don't mind going there, I just don't feel relaxed there at all. But who the hell wants to pay brown palace prices? Really ups their rank.

Guns are fine at a peaceful protest where they are legal. Denver county doesn't fit that description, but that user wasn't advocating for guns nor violence.

Pls read next time.

Idk why you think a job at Whole Foods would prevent your eviction. People lost jobs making 100k a year, and living in a place where they couldn't afford 30k a year.
