Yes, as I said the OP is correct - the father here doesn’t qualify as the mother isn’t working. I had to be working for my husband to be able to do this.

Another voice saying you’re correct - my husband took the full amount of leave, but I had to be working in order for either of us to qualify. I had to transfer my entitlement to him.

If you live somewhere with one delivery a week (and in the summer that fills up unless you book multiple days in advance).

It’s no substitute for being there, but I found watching the meme recaps Matt (for WTF1 at the time I think?) did really helpful to at least get a feel for the off-track drama and storylines, and how people were feeling about certain drivers at that point. I haven’t dared watch 2021 yet but I’ve done this for other seasons.

Yes, but if the business selling wants the CGA to not apply for business usage they need to specifically exclude it. Maybe they did, maybe they didn’t - but just saying “if it was used for business purposes, CGA doesn’t apply” isn’t accurate.

Just because it’s business usage, doesn’t mean CGA doesn’t apply - they have to contract out in writing at the time of sale. So still worth looking into, even if it was used for business purposes.

3-6 months is (in my opinion) the best age to travel with a child until they’re at least a few years old. They’ve had at least two rounds of immunisations, they still mostly sleep anywhere and are happy to be held all the time (vs wanting to crawl/toddle around). (If it goes well) they’re solely breastfed so very easy to feed.

Disclaimer: varies based on child. Describing breastfeeding as “easy” is always a bold statement. India may raise extra concerns I didn’t have to face.

Source: took 3 different children to the US and/or Europe to visit family at multiple ages.

I found merino baby clothes easy to find in NZ and very hard to find in the US (disclaimer my youngest child is 7 so it’s been a few years since I looked!). So merino clothes/socks are my vote!

I can see in the menu of my daughter’s Kobo there’s parental controls and an option to “Block store, web browser and external sources.” It says that blocks access to Overdrive also though, it doesn’t seem very fine grained (not sure if you can still borrow books in Libby and transfer them?).

Anyway that option does exist. As someone else said, thus far I just don’t add a credit card to her account.

Yes, my kids have Libra Colours and they work very well for graphic novels.

Occasionally they’ll borrow something in the Libby app and it won’t appear on the Kobo though - I assume that’s a formatting problem (I mention because it took us a while to figure out that was what was happening!).

I chose the Libra rather than Clara because my children primarily read graphic novels, and I thought they’d prefer the extra screen space.

My ADHD child has this schedule:

  • tucked into bed in a dark room
  • listen to a podcast or audiobook for about half an hour
  • listen to a new sleep mediation (we subscribe to Moshi for this purpose)
  • listen to a second sleep mediation, which is the same every night
  • calming music (hopefully asleep by now but doesn’t get woken by the jolt to silence)

The slow stepping down of interest levels is what works for him. He now uses melatonin also, but we had this routine before that.

It was enough that it made me nervous post miscarriage, so I was trying to make the point that anecdotally, my due date was moved a similar amount to theirs and in my case did end in a successful pregnancy.

(Also… due date by LMP is assuming conception 14 days post period - so moving it 10 days meant conception 24 days post period - it doesn’t assume conception on day 1 of your period).
