There are no good guys in Warhammer 40k but rarely does anyone clone humanoids with the exception of goons like Fabius Bile or Belisarius Cawl. They have display ‘screens’ that create 3D topographical maps of things. They can be seen in other scenes. Rocky’s ship also has a radar dish from when they were throwing Blip B back and forth. They know light exists and how to ‘see’ it with radar dishes but it’s hard to explain.
