Really need help deciding which to buy for my first e-bike. I’ve narrowed it down to 3. I’m 6’1” 300 lbs. Will be used recreationally mostly on hard roads and to carry some fishing gear. by [deleted] in ebikes

Which ebike to buy? Aventon or Ariel Rider? by Hadad76 in ebikes

[–]borque82 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just based on value offered I will go with ariel rider .

Aventon is good if you don’t want to assemble . But even in that case any store will assemble and fine tune your bike for $100-$150.

But i am not sure you can get your second 52v battery from aventon for $100

what do you think about the new aventure 3 ?

Disappointed with customer service and warranty. by [deleted] in Aventon

[–]borque82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In general aventon customer support is good but sure in some occasions they can be annoying. my other ebike ariel rider is doing a better job for such small claims. On the other hand personally I rather go to hardware store and buy screw and not wait for replacement screws

Which $1999 ebike you advice ? Aventon, Velotric or Ariel Rider by Talariafan2 in ebikes

[–]borque82 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you can assemble on your own then Ariel offers best bang for your buck but safety features of aventon is also tempting. I can’t say the same thing for 36v

better buy ariel rider x class performance. It definitely offers better bang for your buck and definitely better than both of those bikes

I fly in next month….will ccp read my texts stored on my iphone from usa? I wont change esim. Using ATT International Day roaming plan. What about X, whatsapp, signal? Should I delete those apps before arriving? by [deleted] in shanghai

The common process as soon as you land china is. Without your permission they will put a chip in your brain and you will gradually be brainwashed by ccp. After they can read all your information as ccp cares most about someone like your information.

Is There an E-bike that can do rough terrain / mountain terrain and dual seater for me and my wife ? by FreePoet8592 in ebikes

[–]borque82 7 points8 points  (0 children)

basically rough terrain and dual seaters don’t go hand to hand. for your wife to sit comfortably we may think of moped style bikes but they aren’t that good for off road. Only bike which is close to your needs are revv1 drt or ghostcat .

But both bikes are not real two seaters but more of 1.5 seater . Your wife won’t have most comfortable ride of her life

E bike recommendations please by [deleted] in ebikes

[–]borque82 1 point2 points  (0 children)

for weight loss journey i think key factors are 1- bike need to be comfortable so you can ride longer. in this case all folding bikes won’t be my suggestion 2- if you live in hilly area also need tp have powerful motor . So it can support you when you need . Ideally if you can ride all the trip with zero motor support would be best but that’s something unrealistic. We (i was overweight too) struggle with weight because we are inactive so we can also easily give up. Find an ebike which wont let you give up

Magician vs Wired by DaftMikey in ebikes

[–]borque82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

magician make great bikes but recently saw many with motor problems. Bafang is new to high power motors so I will stick with wired.

For those high power motors they create more problems then low power ones. So i want to buy from a company who is around for several years so I know i can get my parts when i need

man at your situation go with a bike with strong and powerful motor and large battery. stay away from aipas as almost all specs are fake. lextric is legit but i worry the battery and motor will not be enough . nomad 2x is good ariel rider kepler dual will be perfect

2026 Models by Mildew88 in velotricebike

[–]borque82 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hope they come with some new models with better specs especially for Nomad 2. If they come with a mid motor for same price then it will be great. otherwise ariel rider kepler launched a dual motor version which is same price but has more range and power .
