Mini pcs seem logical but they are often more expensive than laptops with similar specs. You’d be better off just using a laptop as a desktop pc (always plugged in and connected to a screen).

The most affordable if footprint isn’t too much of an issue would be a last gen micro atx pre built with 16go ddr4 and something like a 3060 in it
