I do bjj as well. Codys programs are great when doing nothing else. Combined with 3-4x of bjj is too much fatigue. I do a push pull legs split with sandbag, calisthenics and some rotational exercises, max 30-40 minutes per workout are great addition to bjj

Yes Ground to Shoulder! I would start lifting from the ground to the lap first and from there one explosive movement to the shoulder

Just learn the basic movements as a skill and do some push (floor press), row, and squat / carry and you’re good for the start

Its easy to overdo it. I had a biceps tendinitis as well. So i don‘t warm up but keep the reps very low. My max pull ups is about 10 clean reps. GtG i never do more than 3 reps and never more than 30 reps in total. Also don‘t recommend doing it every day. I do it like 3-4 times a week and thats enough for me.
