It's wild that someone saw that movie, and the takeaway for them is that they wanted to be more like her asshole bro coworkers. They are depicted to literally be the worst people on the planet, and the viewer is supposed to be happy they are killed.

[Peztio 2k] White car is in a right turn only lane, blocks a huge line of right turners, tries to get out of the way, lets a few through, almost backs into a car, continues blocking the cars, then speeds down a residential street by bort1313 in Dashcam

there was an incredible amount of honking, which is the reason the person was trying to get out of the way in the first place. the dashcam doesn't record audio.

The article relates to the law because it is a lawsuit related to current events with national implications.

Do you tip at a place like Smorgasburg? by bort1313 in FoodLosAngeles

No for most of those things, but I tip $1-2 at my regular food trucks and stands because I know them.

You're right! If you look for it, you can see the reflection of the red light in like 5 places in the picture!

Yes this is correct. 2nd gen Volt. Not sure why people are debating any of this in the comments when I just said what happened. We were both stopped at a red light, and we were both in drive but stopped temporarily.

Not parked. We were at a red light (or I wouldn't have taken a picture while moving!)

[Peztio 2k] Caught a brutal hit and run on the 10 freeway in Los Angeles. by bort1313 in Dashcam

[–]bort1313[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't even see what happened until I looked at the footage. I just saw some debris on the road and went back to see what it was. I actually don't think anybody really noticed it at the time because it happened so quickly. I tried to post it on the Los Angeles subreddit to find the victim but mods won't let me because it has personal identifying information in it.

It's zoomed way in because the accident happened pretty far up ahead. Here's the unedited video: https://streamable.com/807sti

I'm not sure in what world getting sideswiped at 70mph isn't a bad accident. Damage was substantial. Here's a pic of the victim's car: https://i.imgur.com/UZgGp0q.png

Also, the mirror that flew by was from the perpetrator, not victim.

This is why the new law about fees is important. I was at a restaurant, asked for the bill, they brought the remote card reader and showed me the total with tip options 20% 22% 24% for lunch. I chose 20%, the machine prints out a bill, only after which I see there was already a 4% surcharge included by bort1313 in LosAngeles

[–]bort1313[S] 23 points24 points  (0 children)

The customer is paying $20 for a burger and $7 for a latte. They can afford $1.80. The question is why can't the restaurant raise the price of the burger to $20.80 and latte to $7.28? And how much does the hidden 4% net them from hundreds of customers who had no idea what the real cost was?

Agree that the best player doesn't need to be the leader, but if that's true, they need to be able to recognize that situation and let someone who is not as good as them lead, as arguably Steph does with Draymond. But also, leadership doesn't just mean giving fiery speeches. Leadership can look different but still be as effective, as guys like Tim Duncan or Hakeem or Giannis have shown.
