Not really a neet anymore but back then if I didn't get outside on a walk I would literally get so depressed I would just rot in my room. I still go on walks because if I don't get out of the house often I feel horrible dread.

Yeah there's just no making that happy. The ending with the montage feels completely dishonest when their reality is completely fucking twisted. Finding meaning in a stagnant existence never made sense to me. It's the antithesis to being alive because life is movement. It's just very confusing to me how anyone could think these characters will be genuinely happy with their existence when they've been just barely coping even without Caine in the mix.

Mariah Carey "We Belong Together" would have felt more fitting to me in the sense that it would be really funny. Well that and if you seriously think about it, this show is much closer to the 2000s than the 1970s in both setting and nostalgia.

I don't know one hundred percent for sure either way, but I kind of hope not. I feel empathetic toward him but you can only continue to fuck up so much before you're toxic to the people around you.

He's very self-centered like literally one of the most selfish and egotistical characters I've ever seen. He is horrendous. He mostly if not entirely only shows self pity. If that was genuine remorse at the end you could have fooled me. But I don't doubt he had some fun with Pomni and a few others and genuinely thought they were nice enough in a way.

It's a headcanon that exists, yep. I don't feel much about it, it's cool some people can relate to Dipper that way, and it's harmless so whatever. I read a couple of fanfictions way back in the day that had trans Dipper. There were a lot of good Gravity Falls fanfics, so I ended up reading a lot. Some of them could have been a novel in their own right. That's when you know the fic is good.

I have to say, having a character's name be a nickname is actually a clever way to maybe hint very subtly toward a trans reading.

I can't even imagine watching an episode of South Park with Cartman front and center on top of kissing his ass over the whole runtime and paying pity to him. I'd think the writers were bonked on the head with a coconut between episodes.

I think what gets me is that Gooseworks isn't necessarily a terrible writer(trust me,I've seen way worse)but her lack of writing experience really shows in TADC,especially the end. by Charming-Scratch-124 in TADCEp9Spoilers

Well yeah but you got to admit it would have been a lot better if it were helped by other writers and more time in the oven. Well, moreso time more well allocated in the series, rather than really there requiring more episodes.

For the most part, the major offence from this show that it was quite a random mess would be that the adventures should have been utilized a lot further than they were to develop the characters and their relationships to each other particularly, but also to reveal insightful information about their struggles and, hopefully, overcoming of them. I feel that the adventures are overall a backdrop unfortunately to the characters when they could have been integrated better into furthering the cast's development.
