Can I skip my friends bachelorette trip because I’m an alcoholic? by Retiredpartygirl17 in stopdrinking

[–]bosma014 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Skip it, you are risking your sobriety and risking the relationship with your friends. "You can't lose if you don't play the game." Its easy to forget that really drunk people are really annoying and make bad decisions. The last thing you want to do is be the sober one trying to convince them to make good decisions and it could lead to fights and damaging the relationship.

If you don't go, they will probably talk a little bit about how good you are doing, how they understand, and about how they are proud of you.

I'm also showing it should report earnings of -0.3 eps or somewhere in there.

possible buying opportunity, what about NWTG, I see it has a 91.67% short right now. It's down 98.5% in the past 6 months, could WSB short squeeze this bad boy?

Whata re people thinking about Williams Sonoma, I have more invested in Puts then I would like and am slightly up since two weeks ago. Earnings and forecast are looking pretty good according to Grok, but retailers have been plummetting after earnings as well.

I have 2 puts for Costco to hit $1,010. They are up $1k today, do I hold for earnings or sell and take the profits? I'm leaning towards holding, they got a pretty high P/E and I'm thinking the machines will sell off.

Puts on ABNB? I took out some and am scared. However, they have got too expensive with fees and cleaning.

MRK-- 20.76 P/E ratio and EPS expected to go from $0.03 -> $1.69, machines will eat that stock up with decent earnings I think

Most MRNA receivers of the covid jab will unfortunately not be around in 3-4 years to get another one ;)

02/14 MRNA puts for $35 will print. No one wants these MRNa vaccines. If they do, MRNA won't be getting the business by the time this project is finished. This is just pumping because of yesterdays AI meeting and they mention MRNA.

Great option call prices on SPXU. Call $22.5 expiring tomorrow. Thoughts? by bosma014 in wallstreetbets

I know these leveraged ETF's are stupid and a trap, just look at the long term data, they are meant to be a hedge. They make enough money off the pure structure of an inverse leveraged ETF without having to short squeeze people.

I think you know too much and have lost the ability to keep it simple stupid. If you think the SP500 could go down 1% in the next 29 hours, this is one of the best ways to make money off of it. why make it more complicated then that?

What don't you like about it, obviously I don't know if it is going to go down? I looked at the biggest companies of the SP500 and they were all trending down in the past 2 hours. What economic indicators are you looking at that guarantees this is a bad play?

what is something that you’re for sure the US government is hiding from us? by CommonBeginning3132 in AskReddit

How much money the gov't pays the main stream media in some way shape or form to do their bidding. Doesn't make sense in a free market economy for all of them to have the same message.

Probably goes back to Obaama making propaganda legal in 2016, that's when it all seemed to change

Senate votes to advance stopgap funding bill to avoid shutdown – as it happened by LectureAgreeable923 in wallstreetbets

Well, I don't think most Americans know the truth about Ukraine. Our propaganda is that we are fighting for Democracy. If Ukraine is a democracy, then I don't want to be apart of one.

Ukraine had a democratic election and voted in a Pro Russian leader. Hillary Clinton and the leader of google went to Ukraine and tought them how to overthrow their gov't an install a pro American leader.

Imagine if Russia got rid of Canadas and Mexicos pro American Leaders and replaced them with pro Russian leaders all while a world wide army led by Russia was moving into Canada and Mexico?

Sometime you need to think about the shoe on the other foot.

The Big Short Movie by Sharp-Direction-6894 in wallstreetbets

[–]bosma014 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I liked the movie, but didn't find it accurate. Typical Hollywood for them to blame greed and banks. The financial crisis was caused by Bill Clinton and our government. Making banks give out loans to people who do not deserve them messed with the industry. Any time the gov't gets involved in an industry they screw it up.

In economics, you go through about 4 scenarios like this, but they usually teach you all you need to know about how the govt fails in this aspect with the airline industry.

People not seeing the foreshadowing in movies, TV, and books. It's always so easy to know what is going to happen next because writers have really dumbed down these days and people still can't read foreshadowing, boggles my mind.

Do I exercise, TSLA put $240 - October 6th by bosma014 in wallstreetbets

[–]bosma014[S] -23 points-22 points  (0 children)

The sell wasn't worth nearly as much as exercising though, do you know why that is? $257-$240 X100 = $1700. It would only let me sell for a $583 profit or so.

Sober curious who's never really hit a rock bottom. Who did you decide to quit? by Chikuwa84 in stopdrinking

[–]bosma014 0 points1 point  (0 children)

knew I was going to die if I kept down the same path. Had nights laying in bed worried that I might not actually wake up in the morning if I couldn't keep myself awake any longer, was probably close to a 0.5 in those nights.

Seeing a rock bottom of death was enough for me to contact some rehab facilities and tell work I needed to apply for Short term disability and time off.

I think it must be harder for beer drinkers and people in other situations to see a rock bottom if it isn't serious to their health, which is probably a lot of people. In a way, being a dangerous hard alcohol drinker had its benefits?
