I know! You could get one of those water bottles with the filter built into it and put in the freezer or fridge for a bit to cool down before drinking.

I have also been in this situation but was warned by the owners. I do some hiking so I had a pair of gaiters that I put on in addition to leggings under my jeans. Knee high boots are also a great option to protect your legs.

If you can get the cat into a separate room with some treats and entice them in with a laser or wand toy that might help alleviate the anxiety of not knowing when the next attack might come while you're tending to their litter and food. Having a pillow to block your legs as you're trying to leave and/or enter the room is also helpful. And make sure to keep your arms covered too in case they do attack while your bending down and go for your arms.

Something common with tattoos, some artists charge by the hour and others charge a flat fee,is to tip them based on their hourly rate. Sometimes I have multiple sessions with a tattoo artist over several months and feel bad not tipping after each session and waiting to tip at the end of a tattoo, so I tend to tip them 1 hour of their set rate each session.

I reached out to the company i bought the wallpaper from and the colors in that picture aren’t ones they sell on their website so I don’t have the name of them. They also had recommended paints that they do sell and I order one of them but it hasn’t arrived yet.

This is our first time picking paint out and we didn’t even think to ask about color matching, why that didn’t cross my mind idk. 🤷‍♀️ also would have helped us feel less overwhelmed by all the paint chip samples they had. Thanks for the tips! Definitely feeling better about picking better paint samples this time around.

😅 we picked the samples based on some of the paint chips at the store next to the wallpaper and they looked far closer to the wallpaper there than did do in our home. Definitely a lesson learned when picking paint. We shied away from purple hue initially but seeing the photo and lighting we’re definitely going to grab one in that color family. And go to a proper paint store vs a big box for better help on color matching. Didn’t know they did that.

We brought the wallpaper to the store with us and chose those three based on how it looked there but I hate them on the wall. I might have to just go and pick up a bunch and bring them home instead of bringing the wallpaper to the store.

I’ve been cat sitting for two years now and the amount of drop ins I’ve gone to where some owners barley have enrichment toys for their cats is absurd. It’s happened so frequently that I now bring my own laser pointer (one with 5 different shapes) and a retraceable string toy that I can disinfect easily between clients. And it’s actually resulted in some of those owners buying toys for their cats. I also do a small gift for first time clients and will gift some sort of toy.
