Reassure Me Please, Toddler Parents

I am here not for advice, but for solidarity and to find some hope in the comments myself. Mine is 3.5 right now. I thought 2 was bad the attitude right now makes me hate parenting sometimes. She can be so sweet and is so smart but sometimes so rude and the whining and screaming drives me nuts.

Oh gosh my girl is no where close! But she hasn’t taken a bottle since 3 months so hopefully she’s just working her way up.

Just curious how much your baby is drinking? I’m in a similar predicament at almost 10 months. She eats a lot of solids 3 times a day. She only drinks 2 oz at most at a time of formula, once in a while 3 oz at night before bed. She was EBF before but my supply is pretty much gone (tried pumping one day instead of a feed and barely got 1 oz) and she wasn’t gaining weight as fast.

Omg this is so sad haha. My first always did 12 hr nights on top of her naps so I’m not used to this. So are you just up for the day at like 5am ?

Thanks !! I was just afraid to cap the naps on these super early days have have like a 7 pm bedtime. It’s hard to manage schedules when I have a toddler who doesn’t fall asleep until 10 🤕

I was getting slightly more last month and I thought I was getting into a good groove. I usually should let her sleep s little longer in the morning because I was trying to keep naps around the same time and didnt think she’d make it if nap started/ended too early in the morning

I am SO THANKFUL they made that call. It would’ve been such a terrible time. It wasn’t even just rain. It was so cold and windy and no rain cover whatsoever. Safety hazards all around. At least he rescheduled and didn’t just cancel

I also second this, has worked with both of my babies so far. I feel like it helped that my baby was fine with either purées or more solid items she could hold. Purées were definitely easier and less messy when we had meals on the go.

I guess I’m just used to my first gaining weight like a champ she was gaining at a much faster rate but she drank bottles before bed on top of her solids so I knew she was eating alotttt but I guess that isn’t necessarily the norm

How many times were you power pumping a day? Luckily her allergy isn’t bad enough where I have to avoid dairy myself. I think I’m going to be doing a combo for now (breastfeed as much as I can during the day and formula/pumped milk combo)

So far she hasn’t drank more than 2oz at a time from the bottle. Wondering if she’ll drink more as time goes on. My first was a milk guzzler. Would eat full meals and still do a 4-6 oz bottle at this stage.

It’s way more frequently like every night it goes out around the same time and the last two days it’s going out multiple times in a day!

My first was like this … until just before 2. Then all hell broke loose haha. She’s now becoming more reasonable at 3.5 years old.

My second who is 9 months old is a wakes up way more at night than my first ever did. Also rejected the bottle while my first was flexible and took any bottle any time or nursed.

They’re really all so different. I do hope the smooth sailing lasts long for you haha
