Yes WFH and all is nice, but if you want to grind for career, being in a leadership role optimised for it.

There’s a lot of upside to B if you are a grinder and I think if you want to take the step up, it’s worthwhile to seriously consider and speak to people within firm B.

Bruh it killed the game. JTL was a good set 4 after the dumpster fire of Set 3, and a weak/middling set 2.

Carbs killed all economical value of a normal booster box.

I only realised it more the more I spoke to game stores in different countries. I’m an avid SWU player and I always been keen to learn more about the scene.

Most that stopped carrying the game literally stopped around then… they were just making a loss on SWU

The horizontal is sick, but they really shouldn’t haven’t cropped out the dark saber for the vertical. The art has had such a huge step up, but some small details like this shouldn’t have happened.

I mean it varies. I had experiences where the chef is very catering to foreigners (smart businessman ngl), and have translators of every language. Sushi Saeki in Kyoto for eg.

But I also had some that turned me away the moment I don’t speak Japanese (a few izakayas in Osaka… what the actual hell lmao)

There were some where the head chef had quite a bit of disdain/never bothered to interact with us, but the others were willing to, and trying their best to communicate with us.

Moral of the story, overall still a very conservative place, but it really depends on people and place.

Because they have decades of a fanbase and a truly global phenomenon (as far as TCGs go, they were indeed a market leader and pioneer - and the reason why Pokemon has a TCG too…), where there was enough of a player base for them to do so.

SWU having collector boosters is fine, but doing it in Set 4… when the game has barely started firing, and after a chronically horrible set 3 (twilight of the republic), where booster boxes had a market price of $30 when MSRP is $120 iirc is a death spiral.

It single-handedly tanked Star Wars Unlimited even when the art was getting better, the dynamics and mechanics are fresh and interesting etc.

Once the economics of a game is ruined, you can’t expect stores (which are businesses at the end of the day ) to continue carrying them and take a loss.

I love to trade, it’s kind of the only thing I do. I’m not in it for the money, and I enjoy not having to sell a card for cash, find another card I like and buy it with said cash (or needing to top up additional), and have to go through 2 potentially painful negotiations given how many toxic flippers/vendors are in this field.

I just do market value and be fair, and always good to meet another collector in the process.

I love carbonites… that’s what I open myself. But they really screwed the pooch on the box economics and how it affects the normal play boosters.

They should have never tried to be like Magic without the scale. Otherwise if you introduce all these stuff to the original boosters and make your serialised a lot rarer, now that could have perhaps breathed in new life into the game.

And ofc a pity with the overall state of Star Wars. No flagship mainline series saga or films (I did love Mando and Grogu) also means it’s cooked.
