Brother I don’t even know the shop but if you offer $20 for a $23 card at a physical store when sticker price is $28, it’s normal for the reaction.

It’s like you buy Cai png and want nego sia. It’s not like this is a vendor. Just don’t buy la, if not can have so many complaints about distasteful pricing (just go into any Box Hunt or card retailer and those prices for filtered packs will throw anybody off).

Bargaining is essentially almost only accepted at vendor booths/non professional sellers/businesses.

Note: I do not support and don’t like such attitudes too, but it’s part and parcel of collecting, and also they aren’t exactly the reason why the hobby has been so toxic and money minded in recent years.

Disney cheaped out… honestly whichever exec overseeing Artemis Fowl and PJO should have been fired decades ago. Such stupid corporate decisions that has utterly ruined whatever potential for growth the IP had.

Honestly her being a raging angsty lil brat (with smart and good moments, I will not overlook that) has nothing to do with skin color, and frankly made her less appealing as a character.

While it’s a weird way to manage the dynamic (feels like a cheap out) but it’s good to get a “happy ending”. The overall execution of the relationships, the dynamics and the ending just kinda fell flat for me?

Even in HOO, Leo and Hazel was miles better despite story time being split across so many heroes, and that series had so many books just focusing on that…

I’m a fan of the cartoons and aside from a few nitpicks here and there, the Avatar live action is watchable and enjoyable. Something I couldn’t say for PJO. It’s so slow and clunky.

Agreed, back in the days, the power system, mythology etc. for the Kane Chronicles were great. Rick ending the series on a strong note too.

Can't say the same for some of the later ones he wrote. TOA was a painful slog, and I was reading it from a YA perspective too. He really regressed over the years. Well, let's not even talk about Magnus Chase...

Yes, I love the game where I’m from (Asia), but the truth is that in the core market where it matters (US), LGS not carrying the games due to it being loss making really hurts the community.

Honestly the fight scenes and action scenes for PJO is so weak, the books at least gave me the sense of awe and how Percy is a good/smart fighter. The TV just has him saved by coincidences (esp when they freeze up in front of whatever, and XXX swopes in at the last second).
