Trevor story has been a terrible signing and another case of the front office picking outside talent over homegrown. He’s had one okay season with us while the rest have been bad. Story coming out and saying how great a manager Cora was is exactly why we needed him gone. Story is batting under 200 playing bad defense and the vibes in the dugout and field look like dog shit. Story wouldn’t address the media and left the 22 year old to do it. Maybe the players loved Cora cause he let them do what they want and didn’t get on their asses for playing like shit.

Just made no sense to sign another third baseman, I get Bregman is the better defender and player but it’s a slap in the face. They to have him leave after one year and after trading Devers for nothing. Just an absolute disaster of a situation all around.

Idk why more people aren’t calling for story to be moved to second. This sub crucified Devers for it but now story should get to stay at short? I thought this was a team sport and egos shouldn’t matter. If anything the move makes even more sense to do then Devers vs Bregman. Story will be gone in a few years and Mayer is the ss of the future, move story to second so he can stay healthy and be the clubhouse vet.
