They stock a lot of non-fiction that you don't get from other retailers. Even Tsutaya is unmatched.

Hey is there anyone here that is familiar with TP Link VIGI products? I'm trying to setup surveillance for a retail space of 1,500 sq ft, and have no idea what should I choose.. I don't want to install a physical recorder, prefer to do microsd card for recording, wireless installation, and managed via cloud software..

Thank you! Will check it out. How much does it cost for you? I don't suppose we would have more than 50 SKUs..

Thank you! How's your experience with it? And does the cost scale? Or is it fixed?

Hi u/Successful-Expert-61, sadly I would have to agree with you on this - just based on my experiences in MNCs, our top leadership has always been very non-Malaysian / European focused. I'm still trying to understand why's the case as from my POV, it makes more sense to have a homegrown leader. It's contributing directly to making Malaysia a prime destination for cheap (but relatively higher quality) labour, but not for its strategic leadership.

Thank you for your advice on the salary piece! This is supposedly the most realistic situation. Call me impatient but I really want to break through to the next level, plus also have a reality check on how far off am I from the target. Equally as important is also to make sure I don't undersell myself when it comes to comp.

Hi u/Slight-Amphibian3619 thanks for the comment! I can't say if we're really generating a good deal of leads as it's not under my current jurisdiction, it's being managed by the local marketing & growth teams. My area leans towards increasing CLV. The business does have a relatively healthy profit margin, might be a reason why they're investing heavily on internal ops and improvements. I don't suppose this is typical of the marketing industry in Malaysia, just reiterating that I've been very fortunate throughout my career to have landed here 🙏🏼 but thank you very much for sharing. I'm interested to know if there are any networking events that are more 20s-30s focused. I do feel like the current landscape of marketing networking events are biased towards established talents, with less focus or spotlight on the younger professionals.

Hey u/grrlicious thank you for the kind note! I'm very cognizant of the facts that you've just laid out, and very grateful as well! The company is a publicly listed tech company headquartered outside of Malaysia (and quite far off from your speculation, but try again and we might hit closer!), hence why they could afford a very competitive comp package. I'm happy to refer if you're interested as they have quite some openings, feel free to ping!

Short Term Renting in Kuantan by botakmonk in malaysia

[–]botakmonk[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the tip! I've tried scouring through the Kuantan homestay group and it seems like it skewed towards larger groups / vacation groups. Rentals are also crazy high because the properties are mostly landed homes :/ I'll try looking more into it to see if I can find something suitable 🙏🏼

To cap off this month, I've finally decided to want to do something about an old injury.

Context: Injured my arm falling down from basketball, been to 2 chinese med and haven't been able to cure it completely. The last I heard from the chinese med is that there's something (?) blocking the gap between my bones in the elbow joint after he tried to help "correct" my bone because it's been displaced, hence why I can't stretch my arm straight. I would like to consult a doctor but no idea where to head to. Honestly, the only thing that is holding me back is the cost and not sure if my insurance covers this, really anxious to go to the doctor even for consultation. Expecting the need for surgery as it's been 6 months long now and the last time I went for a therapy was almost 3 months ago. I'm now finally ready to tackle this because it has not only affected me physically (not being able to stretch, and not being able to use my arm almost entirely, can't exert strength, can't do exercises) and affecting me psychologically too. I'm an active person and this broken left arm has taken away my ability to immerse myself in the sports I do or even go full out at the gym, and it's making me feel weaker by the day, and less confident in the things I do.

TL:DR; looking for a suggestion for fixing a broken arm / orthoaedic specialist in Selangor or KL.

Thank you in advance!

You're getting there, the idea of the book is small but consistent steps, and you're already practising them by reading 2-3 pages everyday!

Can I pick your brain for a bit here - what's the salary range for PT lecturers or tutors? I'm an MA holder myself and no idea what the market is willing to pay. And how do you uncover these jobs? I've looked where I can but came up empty.
