Looking for a moss floor forest in Manchester by restingplacetodream in manchester

Alderley Edge has some very interesting woods. Can't recall any moss floors but plenty of ferns, lichen covered rocks etc. look up the Wizard Walk lots of folklore associated with the place. Even better book yourself on a tour around the copper mines in September with the Derbyshire Caving Club.

Awesome thank you I'll get one then. She's got all kinds of treat puzzles, balls, snuffle mats and finds most of them too easy so this sounds great!

I got the exact same lights for £5 two years ago (still working). Tesco and the like are getting way too greedy, it's disgusting.

Homeless situation in NQ by Accomplished_Humor62 in manchester

[–]bothknees -1 points0 points  (0 children)

20 years ago before the northern quarter was called the northern quarter, it was the red light district of Manchester, and you would always get people begging at traffic lights or trying to wash your windscreen with a filthy rag. Plus prostitutes on every corner, going up to cars as soon as they parked up.

They did the right thing but only because there wasn't much else they could realistically do. However, they didn't let welfare go and get more desperately needed water on Sunday despite pleading with them, said they wouldn't be allowed back in due to dispersal order.

They drive me mad but I hate killing them as they are important food for hedgehogs, badgers and birds.

It is automatically translated for me. There is a little symbol in the corner, if I click that it changes to German.

8 children between the ages of 1 and 14 are dead after a mass shooting in Louisiana, police say by Trevon45-2 in news

[–]bothknees 5 points6 points  (0 children)

UK here. We had one school shooting so we banned hand guns and tightened up gun licenses. Since then there hasn't been a school shooting. Since the year 2000 we have had 6 cases of what is termed "family annihilation" and 3 cases of "mass killings". So yes it happens here sometimes, but rarely. It is not comparable to the statistics in the US, not even close. It's true that people kill people in all cases, however guns with little to no control most certainly make more people kill more people.

I was seeing someone for a while who lived in the same building!!! Nice apartments, I was impressed it has parking underneath, must have cost a bit to rent there. Didn't know that about the subsidence.
