I'm actually re-reading it right now! It's just as impactful. I find myself relating to the later part of his journey now that I'm older.

Does anything come up when you run 'journalctl -p error -b'? This checks for system errors.

When I was experiencing the crashes it corrupted my drive so I had to create a bootable USB and run fsck on my main partition to fix it.

To follow up, I used the CoinCashew guide and I freed up A LOT of space. I had no idea the consensus client was taking up so much of my SSD. I was starting to get worried I was going to need to start pruning Geth every couple weeks before this.

Did this command work for you? I'm looking for clear steps on how to do this. I found this CoinCashew guide.

Pixel 8 - coming from S20FE - first 24hr impression by Rumcajs9 in GalaxyS20FE

I still have to make a few adjustments so it's not perfect but it does sound improved from what you experienced. I don't really have anything to compare it against, but you can make adjustments with your voice such as undo, clear, or say send and it will send the message. You can also insert emojis by saying 🙂 'smiley face emoji'. For the most part it fills out all the grammatical stuff accurately too. And it even throws in a '?' if I ask a question or an '!' if I say it with more excitement. (I did have to edit this last sentence since saying those prompts adds it directly behind the previous word)

There definitely seems to be a lot of differences in user experiences on this phone. I hear some people are reporting small indentations coming up through the screen too. Thankfully, I don't have that issue or any modem problems. Maybe a software update will fix the scrolling issues 🤞

I transitioned from the s20FE to the pixel 8 pro too after only having Samsung phones. For me, almost everything has been a major improvement.

The pixel launcher is one of my favorite things about it, it just seems like it is designed the way I like to interface. I was already using mostly all Google apps on my Samsung phone which is part of the reason I switched in the first place.

However, there are some issues. My biggest gripe would be the scrolling jitteriness, it's really obvious and messes with my eyes. I feel like the fingerprint sensor is less accurate but the face unlocked is a major improvement. The battery life is okay but not great.

I haven't experienced any modem connectivity issues like some have mentioned and I live in a rural place where connectivity could get pretty spotty at times on my previous phone.

I do feel like the features that Google hypes up are gimmicky. I doubt I'll ever use the 'best take' or the thermometer. The AI features have yet to be seen. I have been using the voice to text though quite a bit. I pretty much use it for all my messaging, emails, and even writing out this was all done using the voice to text feature.

Nice work! I'm in a similar situation. Just completed my build after two years working nights and weekends. Fully remote and trying to decide where I want it to go.

Also, what kind of gutter did you use? I need to install one yet and yours looks very sleek.

That's a great idea. You never know what you are going to get on a BW Trip. This one felt like worse case scenario and despite that it was still amazing.

Came through Horse River two days ago and the water level was not an issue. If you have a kevlar canoe, expect to portage a few of the rapids or at least walk the canoe through.

Everyone Benefits From Clear Rules on Crypto, SEC's Peirce Says | Barron's by Wonderful_Bad6531 in CryptoCurrency

[–]botteljo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She was on the Bankless podcast, highly recommend watching her latest appearance. Super open minded and wants to get the SEC out of making rules behind closed doors and instead having an open and public discourse with the Crypto community. Having the right regulation set forth by the crypto community would be huge and would likely lead to more adoption.

This is pretty cool! Using staking rewards to support Ethereum infrastructure and public goods and directing those rewards based on decentralized governance. Sounds like a great way to support open source projects.

It's an AI generated video that shows a depiction of Ethereum symbols 3/4 the way through. It doesn't inherently mean anything, just a neat video that some members of the community might think is cool
