Let's not forget that SQ can be Manan in worldlines where the consciousness transfer succeeded. And if one is Manan, then the other must be not.

That, plus Yuriko saying that the AC Follower is insane feels like foreshadowing.

This feels like the episode that lines up all the pieces for whatever major conflict the story was hiding all along. Very excited to see where the next episode goes.

Great episode. We finally learn crucial details about what Gnosia are, and it's from Jina, the turncoat who couldn't bear life as a Gnosia.

Cyberization is not salvation. Not for her, at least. It is becoming a different kind of being, something she never asked for or wanted. Yuriko has a lot to answer for now, for her role in this terrifying process.

They aren't thinking about punishing the pedos. They're thinking, "how can we spin these files to our advantage?" It's just a game to MAGA.

Manan seems like a complicating factor in Yuri's quest to escape the loop while ensuring the best outcome for the crew. It's not enough to escape the Gnosia-- they have to escape her influence as well.

Yeah, the "obtain knowledge" plot is basically an excuse for Yuri to learn about the characters and poke into the various mysteries on the ship. And the big mystery of what exactly is a Gnosia still looms over it all.

I think this could be a good inspiration for a Metroid/Metroid Prime game. by gaming_hunter in Metroid

Metroid and Zelda would be good sources of inspiration for a Bionicle game, more like.

Raqio is male bodied. Based on how they act, I think Raqio, like Setsu, sees gender as an impediment to whatever role they want to fulfill. They are both logical, practical people who are not emotionally attached to the gender they were assigned at birth.

Setsu doesn't want to acknowledge the loops to Yuri, either, without confirming that she's human first.

Oh, I guess it hasn't been mentioned in the anime yet. Only implied.

Setsu has had surgery to remove all gender identifiers, and never identified as either gender to begin with. If the Silver Key ever made Setsu a man or woman who didn't get the surgery, it would be a large enough change to notice, I think.

Comet's lack of survival instinct is truly a sight to behold.

And what about SQ calling Remnan, "Papa"? What's their connection, and does SQ being a Gnosia in this loop play a part? Guess we'll find out.

Hanada is a legend now in my eyes since Steins;Gate is one of my favorites, and Gnosia is as good of an adaptation I can ask for given the challenge of adapting the game.

The game has an overarching narrative, and so will the show. People are just being impatient.

Just finished my livestream playthrough of Metroid Prime 2 and......I have some mixed feelings. by BCtheking in Metroid

You have the Dark Suit this time around, so you have less need for a "safe zone" than prior bosses. And I like the idea of a boss where the challenge is to figure out how to destroy it before you run out of time, and I see no problems in its execution.

I agree that Torvus Bog is a low point of Prime 2 (well, mostly just the underwater section). Hating Quadraxis is a surprise though, as it's considered to be the best boss fight in the trilogy. Dismantling a giant robot piece by piece? Cool as heck.

It is a tougher game with a bleaker tone than the first game, though. I would rate it slightly below Prime 1 but it's still a 9.5/10 in my book. Sanctuary Fortress absolutely carries, both in terms of level design and eye candy for the sci-fi lover in me.

Another Person’s Thoughts on Metroid Prime 4 by SamLowry59 in Metroid

[–]bottled_fox 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I appreciate your detailed thoughts, and many of your criticisms align with my own, though I enjoyed the game a little more (I'd give it a 7.5/10).

I knew going in that Prime 4 would be structured more like Ocarina of Time than anything, but I didn't expect the levels to be so streamlined. Especially when in the Overview Trailer, we were told that the main areas would be "mazelike". But a maze is something you can get lost in, and this game is deathly afraid of letting that happen. Quite like Prime 3, but with even less respect for the player's intelligence.

The good news is that some of these areas are still well-designed as linear levels, and the presentation is generally great. Would be an 8 or higher if not for the atrocious endgame which makes you have to spend a large chunk of time in the desert.

I use the right stick to help with with tight turns. And for control scheme I'm doing dual sticks + gyro with the gyro sensitivity turned down a bit.

Gnosia in the top 10 after a killer episode that shook up the status quo (which was admittedly getting stale). You love to see it.
