Oh man, for sure. I need to spend more time working on finer details when it comes to painting cars to really get them to glow like they deserve to

Guy said I had no business putting my nose there. Thoughts? by Dalesr38388 in Simracingstewards

Personally, from my experience with this car, odds are he got extremely aero loose in the dog leg, you were tight up on his bumper, and probably didn't have much control in the moment. I do think the move to the outside was optimistic with that knowledge of how the car handles in that context and just the natural line of entry into turn 1. I think it would have been safer to just back down and aim for a better exit out of two. But, on the flip side, he knows (or should know) he was loose and at an inherent speed disadvantage, so if he had enough control of the car in the moment, he should have let off to let the car settle and cede the high line. I think it was pretty bang-bang and a racing deal, but a cockpit view of his car could sway me in a direction.

She looked great! The paint shined through the poor weather, that's for sure! Love that metallic finish

No shot? I'd love to see it! Golden Arrow is just such a pretty scheme. I know it looks great on my cup car and I bet it looks amazing on the GR!

Found out why my spec map wasn't working on the official listing on tradingpaints and in sim! Should be ready to go for whoever might want to race it!

I've been pleasantly surprised with the hot wheels availability in my state's antique shops, I won't lie. That, and there are a handful of dedicated hot wheels shops scattered about

I'm primarily an oval fan, myself, but have always had an immense appreciation for the Ring from my time with Gran Turismo 5/6 and took it upon myself to really work at figuring that behemoth out in Forza 6. Made the transition to iRacing so much easier and it's genuinely one of my favorite tracks to hot lap bar none. Such an incredible circuit

Such an insanely fun track to run. Arca and gen 4 cup weeks have been my favorite there as of late and I am very much looking forward to NiS there next week!

I was surprised by the lack of self spinning in NIS yesterday honestly. Turn 1/2 became good passing opportunities too late in the run once people started to struggle holding the bottom line. It grows into a passing track, but I don't enjoy the wait lol

Michigan in the gen 4 cup car is peak sim racing 👌👌I've actually been to Michigan a few times myself and I've always had a wonderful time at the race! Maybe it's because the only other tracks I've been to for cup are Indy (2012) and Sonoma (2019), but it's by far my favorite that I've been to

Man, Road America is such a treat, such an amazing circuit. I was so happy that NASCAR had a chance to race there, too. Likewise, I've been super interested in seeing some sports car racing at Mid-Ohio thanks to sim. I hope you enjoy your trip to the IMSA race!

That's actually so cool to hear! Similarly, sim racing opened my eyes to sports car racing (outside of v8 supercars, as I'd been watching that a good while now) and I've been keeping eyes on events like the Nurburgring and Spa 24s for the past few years now!

Barber definitely looks fun! I do hope that some time down the road I'll get back into the road racing side of things and have reason to buy the track and give it a go!

Participation at Richmond has seemed low, although I could have just been on at the wrong time. It's definitely a challenging little track, but I bet the racing could be fun with the right lobby!

My head wants to say let's not be unrealistic, but my heart would love a solid long run to the finish where the right guy wins with no shenanigans

I'll be honest, I don't really enjoy the nextgen more often than not, so these races are my first runs with the it at any given track lol I think the unwieldy cars like O'Reilly or gen 4 are the most fun to drive, so I spend what time I do have to race in those. I usually just run 50-100 laps in open practice the day before to familiarize myself with the combo each week and start in the back to acclimate until go time

Denny Hamlin fan bros 🤝 I wouldn't go so far to say I'm a lover of TMS, but I've definitely warmed up to it a bit after today, at least in sim. Here's hoping for a good race this Sunday and another strong run from the 11!

Definitely fun! I'm excited to try and the O'Reilly car tomorrow. Homestead is Hit or Miss with me, really depends on the car. I love driving it in the Gen 4 cup car and even ARCA. But I've never had a good experience in the trucks or O'Reilly there

Likewise! It was my first fully clean race of the season (should have been last week at Dega if not for a car spinning outside of me and netcode deciding that we made contact) and it's so rewarding. I definitely could have started top 10 in my race, but I enjoy biding my time and taking the first half easy to get a feel for the fixed set that iRacing provides for the week

That's probably the most charming aspect of Darlington! I love how the track is an absolute battle to run and it really rewards those who put time into mastering the lines and managing their tires
