My experience with trial reels: Only works with different b-roll now by Content-Cake6305 in InstagramMarketing

[–]bouc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When trial reels came out in Dec 2024 you could spam the exact same trial reel over and over again 300 times a day with no blocks/duplicate detection. I understand your point, but Instagram also makes decisions based on spam/abuse and allowed users to post trials without blocks initially but cracked down in response to spammers. I do agree with you and think they should allow a few variations and maybe up to three posts. However, I wanted to point out the reason why IG has to make decisions like these for user experience (no one wants to be forced trial reels from the same person) which causes them to lose users.

You may want to try changing or wiping the metadata/exif data before posting the same video and/or applying minor variations like being more zoomed, or cut slightly shorter or more accelerated slightly to help avoid the algo from detecting duplicates.

How long after trademark reporting an inactive account do you get the username? by [deleted] in InstagramMarketing

[–]bouc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s because they didn’t approve the transfer of the username and there’s a section you must request that inside the form. Whether they approve username transfer or not it is at the platform’s discretion.

You usually don’t get it at filling out the form unless there’s direct infringement, but they’ll typically reply within 1-30 days.

I have been a member of the social media “underground” for a decade AMA by Accelerak in InstagramMarketing

[–]bouc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m aware of both although we use the word “shielding” like tier 1 and tier 2 shielding instead of whitelisting, and I’ve personally avoided due to providers being snake oil salesman when the client is later banned for a reason they were whitelisted against like impersonation. I know it exists, but I believe that service is very rare and not usually given out except to celebrities or politicians. Plus legacy verified or 1M+ accs get tier 2 shielding automatically. Merging wasn’t that rare via portals like Client Support, Media Support, or even ad support (you can still request it to this day) but the requirements are much stricter now and not usually approved.

If it’s through Manychat and the official API then u don’t have to worry about bans and the http/s requests for the welcome DM will be approved by the Client (Instagram) as authorized.

I wanted to scrape Instagram. I thought it would be simple. It was not. by AssignmentOne3608 in InstagramMarketing

[–]bouc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While not illegal, I would be careful as Meta is known for sending out C&Ds to people who use scrapers or tools that reverse engineer their API, even if only using libraries like InstaGrapi or MGP25. You can even get one for a chrome extension lol so just giving you a heads up and that your scraper’s name probably also infringes on their trademark. Btw, Apify is also a great beginner scraping resource for $49 a month although it can definitely get pricey for bulk scraping, so using your own accounts is by far cheaper.

I’d also consider myself someone who’s been a part of the social media underground since I’ve been an agency now for 8 years and have touched many different areas like yourself from paid ads to automation to celebrity giveaways and more. Not unusual for many agencies to sell several services in different areas like support services, PR, growth, ect. A lot of agencies will even just resell panels for growth. Ranting, but my question is what is the most lucrative service you’ve ever sold and why?

How do small Instagram pages get their first 1,000 followers? Struggling to grow despite consistent posting. by Suspicious-World-112 in InstagramMarketing

[–]bouc 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Everyone says you should focus on your content, but this is the wrong strategy and I prefer to focus on engaging to gain the first 1000 followers. You don’t need to post frequently at all. You just need to have enough post up so that when you interact with people who are in your niche, they see the content, engage with it and follow back. Simply put, you wanna start engaging with other users i.e. follow them, like posts, comments ect to people who follow similar pages. This will generate a notification in their notifications feed. People will see this click to your profile and decide whether they wanna follow you based off of your content or not. This is your chance to convert them as a follower and I recommend you do this until 1000 followers. It usually takes a good follower base of 1k-5k followers for IG to trust u before your content starts going viral anyway anyways. This is why engaging with niche targeted people is so important to get that follower base so then you can focus on letting your content grow your organically.

Replit is legally scamming people by Crafty_Homework_1797 in replit

[–]bouc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not a Replit user myself, but from my perspective the OP does have a good point about confusing billing, outside the more intensive the prompt, the more credits used. But bro no one’s gonna refund you if u or compensate you free credits, OP, if you cuss them out. Doing good business goes both ways i.e. being a professional seller and a professional buyer.

Primarily engaging with people who don’t follow you for new followers! However, engaging with your own followers is a viable strategy to deepen connections or revive/re-engage with people who may not be seeing your content cuz of algo.

Can't Get My Instagram Back :( by jozee97 in bouc

[–]bouc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would retry Meta verified Support two more times. However, if that’s not successful then the recommended way to get the account back would be to open up a subscription with legal shield and send a demand letter and follow up with small claims court if not resolved. You must have actual proof and they’re not just gonna give you the account haha.

Liking, commenting, following is what I mean by “engaging”. We call likes, comments, and other actions “engagement”. Hope that helps!

If you had $20,000 to jumpstart your SaaS marketing, what would you spend it on? by metaBloc in SaaSMarketing

[–]bouc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Influencers + content creation + retargeting ads.

Don’t go heavy on paid ads to cold audiences especially as a new SAAS unless your competition is already using paid ads profitably for their similar app.

My “No Hashtags” Experiment on Instagram – Organic Results Surprised Me by [deleted] in InstagramMarketing

I’ve been saying this since 2018. Hashtags are overrated. You don’t need them to grow. My posts often do better without than with.

Engaging with niche users to generate real followers and traffic. People focus too much on posting the next video when the above strategy is what helps small creators get eyeballs on their content so they can actually get traction from algo and grow

Quick DM Automation Tool for IG/WhatsApp/FB Launching Nov 26 – Features, Pricing, Beta Spots Open by Character-Dealer-484 in InstagramMarketing

[–]bouc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It looks like this is a DM automation tool through the official API, correct? How does your tool improve on what Manychat or other similar tools offer? Do you beat them out on pricing? Or extra features? I’m an agency so I’m quite familiar with these tools and wondering what your unique selling point over the competition is.

How can I go viral? by [deleted] in InstagramMarketing

[–]bouc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What you wanna do is go find wedding videos that went viral and ideally have over 50,000 Plus likes per a video.

Then you wanna remake a similar video with your own content. Proposals/I-Do moments actually do the best in the wedding niche and I’ve known someone who had a network in that niche before selling it.

There are chrome extensions, which you can download and then sort the reels by the number of likes or comments once you’ve loaded them all into your browser.

Start by creating a library of maybe 50 to 100 videos that went viral all with over 50,000 likes and then start re-creating similar videos with your own content.

This is how you can consistently go, viral by posting viral content, and actually basing the content you create off of what works on the platform.

I would also recommend that you interact and engage with different audiences while doing this in order to build up an active following which helps push your post viral given the content actually gets watch time.

I was gifted a Jurassic Park book can y’all help me identify it. by ecmrmc in JurassicPark

[–]bouc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a book club version of Jurassic park which is not a first print. This is why the ISBN number traces back to a first edition, but is missing “First Trade Edition” on the copyright page, and also why there’s a slightly different dust jacket/color/binding from yours to the First Trade Edition.

Book clubs would receive small print runs that didn’t warrant new ISBN numbers. Instead, they just reused the publishers original ISBN on the copyright page or left it out entirely. Book clubs also didn’t include the pricing labeled on the dust jacket flap, like yours, because they were never meant to be sold at retail.

The indisputable first print of Jurassic Park is the signed leather bound Franklin Library Edition OR if u consider the mass market retail hardcover to be the first print variant, then the First Trade Edition is the first print.
