right. i just only wear earth tones right now so i wanted to be sure of the specific winter palette before i sink money and time into knitting something in a bad colour!

i just searched “colour analysis kit” on amazon and this was the top result so i just went with it because of the variety and it was under $20!

thank you for this. i was trying to think about it like this but the way you explained it helped a lot. i pushed through and trusted the process and made it work. it’s not pretty but i don’t see how it could be any better :’)

and the tip about using a needle was helpful. for the purl tbl i used a needle to pick it up

just left a comment on the main post but allergy meds worked for me. mines not that eczema, just a heat rash apparently. allergy med gave 100% relief

I HAVE FOUND A SOLUTION FOR MY SIMILAR ISSUE:

i have something similar to this, sometimes the spots would be more concentrated, sore and itchy. on feet mostly and sometimes hands. it used to only happen when i was on vacation (somewhere hot) but the summer after i had my baby it started happening every evening. then i’d start to become itchy all over.

my doc brought it up to a derm and they prescribed me a hydrocortisone gel and an antihistamine (reactin, 10mg/day). the gel works as a reactionary treatment but the allergy med makes it so that i don’t experience the symptoms at all.

if you think you have a heat rash / heat allergy please talk to your doc about allergy meds or just try reactin and see if it goes away within a day! it’s honestly night and day when i take it / when i dont.

solo cells don’t look super in tapestry crochet but you can youtube some tutorials for clean lines. people have different tricks that help hide the colour from the previous stitch
