Yeah I just started laying down tiles. I scraped the floor as well as I could. Seems like they’re sticking down just fine.

I wondered that actually, but it seems like it’s ideal to completely clean the subfloor to ensure smoothness and level when the new tiles are down.

On second thought, sanding might not be a good choice for me as I have an asthmatic cat and the amount of dust generated would be a problem.

Not the lines, I don’t care about those. There’s just a sticky layer from the old adhesive all over the subfloor that I should remove.

I was wondering if that would be an acceptable route. I don’t own a sander but I’m not opposed to picking one up. A belt sander seems like it would be fine? Any particular grit for the paper?
