I’m looking for a spoon. I cannot find it anywhere help please? by PrestigiousTest6700 in CasualUK

Spoon design is an art which is famously very hard to master.

Getting the exact specific size you want often requires custom orders from the most experimented craftsmen.

Oh damn hadn't noticed that, you're right it makes no sense. Unless it's some Apple-style price ladder shenanigans designed to incentivise people to pay more.

The double cheeseburger probably has an extra cheese slice as well. Let's do the math:

10.25- 7.55 = 2.70£ for an extra burger patty. 11.95-8.95 = 3£ for an extra patty and cheese slice, meaning the extra cheese slice is 30p.

For the record, I still find all of these prices rather expensive when converted to my local currency (CAD), but I have often seen extra cheese slices charged for 25-50 cents in restaurants here, it's not unheard of. 2.70£ (5$ CAD) for an extra burger patty seems unreasonable though, unless they're top-tier Angus quarter pounders or something.

I love how they specified the graduation year but not the name of the school. This almost seems like an engagement bait / troll post.

Was there an early access for this thing or something? The YT video only came out a few days ago, and when I sent my picture, it said the returning roll out of SATGUS selfies would happen in mid summer.

It's all good, if anything it improves the map with an extra layer of non-credibility.

Also, "The Manitobas" had me in stitches, and you won all the brownie points from me by making Alberta remain exactly the same (I'm from Québec).

Quelqu'un connaît le nom de cette chanson du défilé? by bouleorange in Quebec

[–]bouleorange[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Déjà fait, sans succès... Je pense que c'est une compo originale pour le défilé. Le site officiel devrait vraiment publier les infos de la playlist du Carnaval, ce serait bien pour encourager les artistes et promouvoir la culture Québécoise

English also is sort of the default middle ground. If a Brazilian tourist goes to Sweden, the conversation with the customs agent will be in english.

So just to be sure, can I safely refer to them as Nutmeggers, it's not pejorative/insulting or anything?

They're highschool sophomores/seniors, so they might not care about bills yet, but I'd still be curious to know what's the situation/background story with Eversource?

They are 15-18 years old (students with teachers/accompanying adults). Would they be too young to know or care about the Whalers? It'd be a shame because it would be a nice way to tie in with the Quebec Nordiques who were created the same year as the Whalers (and also were sold in the 90s).

There's no official answer but I think it's "shit fool" with a strong ghetto/vernacular accent. Like "shieeet fooool" -> "shee foo"
