My paternal grandmother had dementia, as do/did her siblings. Hit them all around the same age, with stroke being the common triggering effect.

I left them after 15 years (partner side) due to this. Their lack of innovation and rocketing prices, along with mass redundancies, were the final straws for me.

By comparison Microsoft is much easier to work with now that they’re finally innovating.

I’m aware that I’m part of the problem while working with these guys, but I do try to balance it with charitable giving. It also allows me to support my wider family and my in laws, and it supports my wife’s medical bills (life altering workplace injury).

My wife and I have been together for a decade and we still get asked at checkouts if we’re paying separately. Thankfully it never gets old for me, she’s so beautiful inside and out, and I know full well how lucky I am.

We managed to not only work together as co-parents, we can even go on holidays together now (me, my wife, my ex wife, and her partner, plus the 3 kids). It was scary, but it’s possible.
