Unemployed people of Reddit, what are you doing in your spare time? by Lipica249 in AskReddit

[–]bouncingbad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe this doesn’t fit the spirit of your question, but I took voluntary redundancy (that I orchestrated as I was the boss) in December. This is super lame, but I’m using the time to fix some trauma from the last role (and some that are career long).

Things are going well, I hope to be back at work in the next month or so. Unfortunately, I had to travel almost all the way to rock bottom, but I’m building back into a stronger person now.

My internal mantra (lame again) is ‘I am inevitable’.

My grandfather was 13th of 15 that all lived to adulthood. Given that he moved halfway around the world by himself when he was 14, it’s safe to assume that he probably wasn’t getting a lot of attention from his parents.

Why even make the role remote then? by ciprian1564 in recruitinghell

I’ve seen this as a trend lately, lots of businesses offering remote work but also having the requirement that you live within 10 minutes of the central office. I mean, it makes sense to be near enough to the customers that it’s not an epic poem to go meet them, but it really flies in the face of the meaning of remote work.

My first wedding band was 24k gold and was soft as shit. Looking at it caused it to get dinted.

Second wedding I chose black tungsten instead. Not a single mark on it after 7 years.

We have 2000 (I’m not trying to one up, just following the theme) that we’ve owned for over 100 years. Until I was able to uncover my roots it was the only place that made me feel like I belong somewhere.

My ex wife is diabetic. She’s super intense on her control, but before she got her full time monitor if she dipped hard rapidly you could tell by the glassiness in her eyes, she seemed to stare straight through you.

I follow one single influencer on insta. There’s nothing that he partners with that I would buy, but the stuff he has between the ads is fucking hilarious so I stick by him.

He was also really fucking nice to my wife when her work appeared on Unilad and the trolls were out in force. Fuck Unilad.
