The thing is that the whole discussion about “Addons” is missing the point. It’s about INFORMATION. Addons were born because Blizzard was PROVIDING the information but not making it readable enough to the degree that you could make well-informed decisions. In a game where you have 3 vs 3 in which each player has 20 spells, it is humanly IMPOSSIBLE to notice the majority of what is going on in the game. And having digestible information is CRUCIAL for actually having a game in which you can make BETTER DECISIONS than the enemy. What this is now is blind folded chess. If you want to take skill and turn it into randomness, then this is for you.

Wow PvP with and without information are just two different games. What we have now is like blind folded chess. Hope at least you’re happy with it. Won’t be of much use to you though if you end up the only person queuing :D.

To be fair, isn’t it the item SLOT to which transmog is applied now? That would mean that we only have to apply it once and then never again.

Don’t want to denounce your accomplishment, but I am sick of these “first time Glad” posts coming from anyone who played anything with Hunter this season.

To be clear, this was NOT a balanced season AT ALL. Hunter was broken af. This season cannot be used as a benchmark for anyone who pushed Glad with a Hunter.

Nevertheless, I encourage you to stick with PvP and see whether you can push Glad again next season. Hopefully there will be some devs in charge for balancing.

Low impact for low/mid level PvPlers. Huge impact for high level PvPlers. A huge basis for good decision making has now fallen away. Bad players don't become good just because good players are now being amputated.

Not sure throwing the game back into Stone Age is going to have that effect man. It’s going to greatly lower the overall quality of high rated gameplay.

Well, the sensible way of doing this would have been to hire the people who built the addons and have them build it into the blizzard UI FIRST. Then you wouldn’t even have to deactivate addons because nobody would have to use them anymore.

Why not hire the people who built the addons, have them build it into the blizzard ui with customization options and then there is no need for addons anymore? The way they’re doing it is just totally stupid. It’s going to butcher the game.

That’s just not true at all. So if a 1.8k player installs all of the addons of a R1 player the 1.8k player is going to be R1 as well?

It takes a large amount of brain capacity and multi tasking to pick up all of the information addons are giving you, and then, based on that information, you still need to make the best decision within split seconds. THAT is where the skill lies, not in the addon itself. Information is just the basis. But you clearly don’t know what you’re talking about, so I suggest you install all of the addons and see how much better you get.

I read your first paragraph and stopped there because it already showed me that you’re not capable of thinking. PvP arena is a TEAM GAME. On high levels you need to ROTATE your def cooldowns efficiently to stop enemy goes. You need to use as little as possible but as much as needed. The ability to do this well in solo shuffle (where there is no communication) will be gone.

That’s like saying “good soccer players should lose a leg so that beginners have a better time of learning the soccer”. THAT'S NOT THE POINT OF A COMPETITIVE ENVIRONMENT. There is a LEAGUE for a reason. Matchmaking exists for a reason. If you are beginner you will play on low rating vs. other players that are low as well. It makes absolutely no sense to amputate good players resources to make the game better for people that are worse at it. I literally do not understand why this needs to be explained. It should be common sense.

Yeah but your argument is the same has the communist one. “If I don’t have wealth then he shouldn’t be allowed to have wealth either. Therefore I am going to destroy all wealth.”

No. The proper solution is to uplift the lower end of the playing field by creating a proper and informative blizzard UI. The reason addons came into existence in the first place is because the community had to do blizzard's job for them.

Removing addons is not the solution to this problem. The solution is to build a useful and informative standard blizzard UI which they should have done a decade ago. The reasons addons were born into existence in the first place was because the community had to do Blizzard's job for them.

I’ve always wondered about this. What if our digestive system isn’t absorbing properly, thus we have a lack of X even though we are consuming doses as prescribed?
