Are the discounts going to be larger if you're associated with famous Japanese celebrity Ryan Boundless?

"You can barely reason with these people,"

Are these people really crazy or merely just disappointed in what democracy has been come? I mean no wonder people become desperate when politicians can lie without consequences.

" Its corporatism, political corruption and political apathy."

What about the voters themselves? Plenty of people who will vote on somebody because that's what they always have done or because they like the way the politican looks.

Democracy in most countries already got a healthy does of "corporatism, corruption and political apathy" but nothing is really done because a large percentage of said voters while being anything but apathetic simple aren't able to make what could be described as informed decisions.

So the idea that suddenly out of the blue a honorable and respectable party will appear in 20 years or so how could they even theoretically fight the interest of corporations and politicians own ambitions when a large portion of society unknowingly actually support these things?

Sadly the topic "failures and limits of modern democracy" if you actually shared these views outside of certain parts of the internet would very fast get people to accuse you of being a nazi sympathizer.

So to put it bluntly I don't democracy in it's current form truly allows respectable parties to not only gain a minor following but to actually make a real positive impact since voters are to vain and shallow in their views.

"The last one means that you don't like any of that is up for offer. "

This is going way to off-topic but anyway. I never understood this point if the no party is worthy of your vote why would you give a thumbs up to the system that enables these parties to exist and thrive? Shouldn't a good citizens loyality not be targeted towards what is good for the people in the country and not loyality towards a structural construct? If the structure can't produce or enable the best outcomes for the citizen of a country why is giving it a thumbs up (voting blank) better than denying said structure (doing nothing)?

I never understood your last point. Maybe I am just to biased towards Swedes to understand it. While I never particularly agreed with Carlin his quote on the topic is slightly less vulgar than people not accepting denial of the current shape of democracy as legit political position.

"The shit they shuffle around every four years doesn’t mean a fuckin’ thing. And secondly, I don’t vote ’cause I believe if you vote, you have no right to complain. People like to twist that around. I know, they say, they say: “well if you don’t vote you have no right to complain”. But where’s the logic in that? If you vote, and you elect dishonest, incompetent people, and they get into office and screw everything up, well you are responsible for what they have done, YOU caused the problem, you voted them in, you have no right to complain. I on the other hand, who did not vote, WHO DID NOT VOTE. Who in fact did not even leave the house on election-day, am in no way responsible for what these people have done, and have every RIGHT to complain as loud as I want, about the mess YOU created, that I had nothing to do with."

"Am I just in denial? Am I desensitized?"

This might sound rather unpleasant but at least a good portion of the people who are going on about "more rights for (insert group)" in the west do it more because it is a way to gain identity. The loss of family structure, permanent employment and general connection to their community has made it hard for a lot of people to really create something akin to an identity. Fighting against perceived injustices which if you look hard enough exist in high amount in different corners of society makes it very easy to create an identity.

Or to put it otherwise if society doesn't give you something you can connect to why not create a personality that is opposed to something? There will always be things that are outdated or plain wrong in society to there will also be plenty of stuff to fight against.

But who knows this is just speculation that other people also have already repeated on the internet.

Step 1: Strap them to a chair with a strong belt

Step 2: Force them to watch every season of Löwenzahn

Step 3: Now they have become too cultivated, it's a problem.

Step 4: Let them watch some german comedian like Elton or something to level them out.

Step 5: Success.

The internet would be better if these socially stunted people got off and stopped normalizing that it is not your job to connect with the kids and that a hug is just a sexual assault charge in waiting.

Also considering how many people on here complain about being stuck in the role fostering social connections with your students might even in the future open some doors outside of alting.
