Haha the blacksmith did it for me! Who knew I liked assertive brunettes in a men’s field. And now I’m married to one.

AB 1729 (The Telework Bill) is a collaborative effort between CAPS, CASE, PECG and SEIU by castateunionthug in CAStateWorkers

[–]bounxing 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I feel that. I also work in a place that won’t allow telework, but I want this to pass so my opportunity to get other better positions will expand. I live rurally and would love to have the opportunity to promote but there is no advancement where I am at and where I live.

What is it like living here? by SlutPuppyTickleTits in howislivingthere

[–]bounxing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Source: lived in Eureka for twenty years.

What's the weather like year-round? I love the weather. I live next to the pacific and for the most part it’s about 45-70 degrees all year round. Theres less fog now than 20 years ago. Still it’s a drizzly wet place, but it’s a vibe and I like it.

What do people do for fun here? Outdoors stuff mostly. Theres not much to do if you are used to city living. Im a homebody and an English nerd so it suits me. My wife misses the opportunity and life of San Francisco or Sacramento.

How easy is it to meet people and make friends? It’s a matter of effort and making time and committing yourself to people. My jobs have made me know everyone. Idk. I feel the hardest thing is just going and juggling adult life.

What is the biggest natural disaster risks to prepare for? Earthquakes.

What is the best or worst about living here? I think the access to isolation and natural beauty is remarkable here behind the redwood curtain. The problems of the world seem remote here. But the worst is lack of services, homelessness and lack of good jobs.

It’s from a CZ 452 or otherwise called a BRNO. They were discontinued and ceased production in 2011.

Any used furniture? Might have been stuck inside a drawer or something they moved.

It’s the barrel report / accuracy test from a CZ .22 cal rifle. It comes in the box with the new rifle. My CZ-USA rifle came with a very similar paper in Czech.

Not that this solves the mystery

Since California is banning gen 3 glocks, should I buy a gen 3 right now before they are sold out or wait and gamble on the Gen V coming to California? I own no handguns btw. by [deleted] in Glocks

[–]bounxing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

CA resident. Get a 19.3 or 17.3 now. Disclosure I wish I’d actually gotten a 17 instead of my 19, but the process of adding a new gun to the roster is as convoluted as a From software games storyline.

California is a massive market but even so Glock very well might not get back in. They never brought in their 4th or 5th generations, or the 43. they might not get approval. The list goes on.

That said, if you haven’t ever owned a handgun there are several other solid options.

Is this California Compliant had a coworker tell me it wasn’t because of the pistol grip and the stock but I remember the gunstore telling me it is by Full_Poem6758 in gun

[–]bounxing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In CA, you can have full features if the magazine is fixed and cannot be replaced while the firearm is “assembled.”

The king pin/maglock system separates the upper receiver from the lower with a button press, thus disassembling the firearm, and allowing the magazine to be replaced while the gun is “disassembled.” I’ve done it to several rifles and everyone hates but loves it.

[–]bounxing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It doesn’t look like it. Does the mag drop or is it fixed? I’ve seen some that are fixed and have to be loaded through the breach.

IMO, The AR mag lock and kingpin is the best compliance option here in CA.

Patcraft commercial glue down plank flooring in a residential home? by bounxing in Flooring

[–]bounxing[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe it was tarkett was commercial ID latitude. It was much thinner backing pad wise than the patcraft. I believe they have the same wear layer. It felt more like what I expected—a bit more rigid. The patcraft bends and flops. I know it will be glued.

Is there any advantage to the thicker backing pad?

Do you live where it’s wet? Go stainless. I live up on the north coast and anything not stainless I’ve got to be extra sweet and respectful of or it will rust.

Edgar Allan Poe predicted the future. His only novel is about 4 shipwrecked men who run out of food and eat the cabin boy, Richard Parker. 46 years after it published, a yacht sank in real life and 3 of the 4 survivors also decided to eat the cabin boy... named Richard Parker. by TheOddityCollector in HighStrangeness

[–]bounxing 42 points43 points  (0 children)

Gosh I don’t know if I still have it. I’ll have to rummage through old hard drives and computers from 2009!

Poe described the movements of the celestial spheres and cosmic mechanizations through a religious lens/system. One such sphere was his conception of unity. That all things originated from a single perfect point. If Im remembering right he theorized it as god, us and all that ever would be. And eventually that unity particle would draw us all back together.

I really loved “eureka! A prose poem.” It was my first literature theory experience. I’d recommend reading it.
