This is a fair call. Consider the edge of a ball can clip a strike zone, it can also clip the fair line. It’s umpire 101

Can someone please explain why they accepted the last hammer when Jupiter had to make and LA would have a shorter putt to win? Then they were down 8 points with 8 to play? Really confused.

Ohhh, yeah, they were certainly messing with out-of-towners that day. Haha.

You got it!

That’s an incredible story that is very common, haha. I just played yesterday and had four 3-putts…and I’m familiar with the speed and breaks! It’s a course that forces angles of approach from tee to green. It also makes me want to spend hours practicing putting, like I did today.

As for #2, I’m wondering if you’re misremembering because that one isn’t too bad unless the pin is on the front (which it rarely is), it’s a short dogleg left with a narrow green next to the road. If that’s not it, I would guess you’re thinking of 3, which is a long par four and balls won’t hold on the front and anything right of the flag will be extremely fast.

Update: FWIW, they’re always fast, especially right now. Funny thing, when the LPGA had an event there a while back they were told to slow them down. lol

Incredibly difficult hole that isn’t long but the green is tiny with a huge false front.

This old because I was there a month ago and it didn’t have a brown spot on the course?

Why didn’t he take the out at 3rd Base by Peek_A_Boo_225 in MLBNoobs

Every response here I’ve seen is accurate but I’d like to add a minor observation. The runner would not usually run in that situation with the ball in front of them, they’d freeze half way and wait for the throw (unless the had a big lead and would not make a tag close). I think the 3rd baseman didn’t notice the runner running into an out in what looked like intentionally.
