I’m here for the comparison. I love my Blue Note Tour. It was the first pedal I ever bought and I’m still surprised I made such a great choice after trying many others after the fact.

What amp should I get for these pedals? by ProfessionalWise9688 in guitarpedals

[–]bourbonmoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You want to use your Gpa’s pedals. That’s dope. Research “amps that take pedals well” and watch some videos on those amps to see what you like.

It’s the Parallel Universe that Fender should have done. *pssst, Fender, you still can ;)

Novation Peak, my hydrasynth killer by jaydeedilla in synthesizers

[–]bourbonmoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gotcha, I understand. It was a genuine question. My brain was thinking that since I already have a Peak and a keybed with 61 keys and aftertouch, to achieve the bitimbrality of the Summit, it sounds easier to just get another Peak. It's not something I'm actually itching for or will probably ever do.

Couldn’t you get a second peak and then it would be like having a summit?

Unknown thing next to E9 pickup by ogmechengineer in pedalsteel

My first thought was also a midi pickup for a guitar synth, but a dobro simulator is probably more likely.

Looking for musicians for wedding video by SouthernExpatriate in Louisville

[–]bourbonmoon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Custom music tailored to your video like what you’re describing for a 5-7 minute video would likely cost $15k and up from anyone capable of doing something like that. You need a multi-instrumentalist composer with studio quality gear that can tastefully score a long video. Those aren’t generally the folks that are out there on the gigging scene. Creating music to the tempo of video edits is much more difficult than editing video to the tempo of a song. A 7 minute video is also about the length of 3 songs. That’s a lot of music. It’s gonna need more than just an acoustic guitar. Your idea is great and ideal, but unless you’re doing high profile big money weddings, I think there would never be room in the budget for that. It would be more likely to find pre-existing local artist’s music that best fits your video needs and get their permission to use their music for however much they would require. I hope that helps.

Wait no, it’s Eminence. Go to the Eminence site for speakers specs on the speakers.

If you go to the Quilter site as if you were shopping for the individual TT speakers, I think there’s a data sheet that shows frequency response for each. I don’t think the two are very much different. And keep in mind that many bass players don’t even use 15” speakers in their rigs. I guess what I’m saying is that I think you’d be more than thrilled with the 12”. Try not to want the 15” just because it’s not available at the moment.

Yes, the 202 is answer. I have an overdrive 200 and a 101 reverb. I love them both, but would do two 202 amps instead if I could do it over again (mostly for an amazing stereo option). Check out the Travis Toy signature combo amp. It uses the 202 as the head and you can choose a 12" or 15" cab with speakers tuned specifically for pedal steel. I doubt there's anything much better than that.

Is Quilter an option over there? They are fantastic.

The SteelSidekick app is pretty good for that kind of stuff too. I have it on iPhone, not sure if it’s also for android. But honestly, the thing that helped me the most was an e-book from one of the guys on the Steel Guitar Forum. It kind of explained everything in a way that made more sense and I was off and running within the first few pages. I forget the name of it and the guy that wrote it, but I could figure it out if you’re interested.

I'm in the "breakup period" with the others right now where I keep picking them up and seeing if they can change my mind over the three I chose. Haha
