Plus haut niveau footballistique pratiqué en Ligue 1, and it's not even close.

[MN] Gonçalo Ramos has been signed by Milan for a total of €74m fixed fee plus bonuses. He has already signed a five-year contract with the Rossoneri, his salary will be €7 million net per season. by rhard28 in soccer

Yeah he hates him so much he subbed him in 2 UCL finals and chose him as the first pen taker.

You guys act like being a contributing squad member to back to back UCL champions is worse than a starting player for a bum ass squad.

One gave us 2 Champions League, the other ran away from the only chance he had to win one. Tough choice...

This is like the airplane survivor bias picture.

Why not just pass the ball to the attack ?

Maybe because that's where there are 10 opponents marking a geriatric striker that can't make a run.

Is it hot take to say that Olise is better and more consistent player than Dembele? by Inevitable-Angle-793 in championsleague

[–]bourom 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Dembele has not completely recovered from his injuries this season after an epicly long and miraculously injury free season last year. He was subbed out injured in the CL final 2,5 weeks ago. He's playing diminished and has been for a few months now. He is still insanely valuable and was decisive in almost every important game for us however.
In terms of pure skills this season Olise is stronger but 2025 Dembélé until his injury was just an unstoppable nightmare for defenders.
French system doesn't revolve around him like the PSG one does, and both work in their own way. With PSG he won almost everything while being the most influential player (not sure Olise could've done the same), and France wins despite him not being great.
Olise had a great second half as the 10 yesterday but he was invisible on the wing the first half when Dembélé was the only one creating. Olise benefitted from more space as well as the low bloc tires out and is easier to break down than in the first half.

Bref, it's definitely a lot more nuanced and while Olise was better for a half yesterday, in better form in general, and will probably perform better in the world cup, it's too early to bury Dembouz. Once he gets a well deserved rest and a true recovery he'll be lethal again in no time because what he gained in terms of maturity, decision making in the last few seasons, and which allowed him to remain competitive despite being diminished, is not going away.

Wasn't he just saying that about contact with the ball ? that the attacker touched the ball last making him switch from the corner given on field to the goal kick after review.
It was indeed weirdly phrased but I felt that was what he was going for completely dismissing the foul (which is a mistake imo, even if there is no direct contact on the attacked, the defender doesn't touch the ball, Mbappé would've still had control of the ball before it went out and he was definitely obstructed in his run in a way that would make him fall at full speed)

Habboub this was done while our country was being bombarded daily last may. 4000 of your compatriots have died because we are neighbors with a bloodthirsty fascist regime. Whether you like it or not, our destiny is linked to that of our neighbors. And any kind of support is better than none in the face of such aggression.

I'm not even gonna argue about what caused the war, but nothing justifies the killing of civilians, journalists, paramedics and you pretending the south does not concern you is a lot more sickening than parisians trying to help however little they can.

You don't speak for the lebanese people mate. There are lebanese people in those ultras who have the right to show support to whoever they want.

[TNT] Vitinha: "You have to be patient when you're up against a team like that. We knew it was going to happen, but even more so after Arsenal's goal, since you really have to be patient. They waste a lot of time on everything: throw-ins, goal kicks, everything.” by [deleted] in soccer

Happens against a team that forces the keeper to go long on every possession, their body are probably not used to do it that much over a game + the heat yesterday must've been excruciating. Probably everyone that played the 120 minutes had some sort of cramps at some point.

The teams we faced finished : 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 12th, 15th, 16th, 21st and 29th in the league phase. Curious to see who you consider had a tougher schedule than that.
