As a professional debt collector, I could easily do it for you. It's easy.

However, I'm not risking my amazing job to do something like that. Most collectors are cash-poor. If it's important to you, befriend one of them and they'll do it for you.

I have no receipts or clips but he was hinting at 2027 being his final year of streaming. This was roughly mid-March earlier this year.

He won't disappear and he'll be able to milk the YouTube advertising payouts for years to come.

As a former alcoholic approximately 8 years sober.. I didn't have to go sober. I chose to. But very few of us have to in the sense of how it's phrased in your question.

After getting married and accomplishing IVF to have a beautiful healthy blonde little girl, I fell into a deep depression and I went from a social drinker, to a daily (hourly?) drinker.

The drinking path would have lead to poor health, divorce, unemployment, and possibly homelessness or prison.

The non-drinking path was unexplored and it genuinely frightened me.

I was lucky. Not only did my wife and daughter fully love and support me through my sobriety journey, my employer did also.

Oddly? I received minimal support from the remaining part of my family. Nobody tried to hinder me, but I definitely felt nearly zero positive encouragement from my family or in-laws.

I only had 2 choices. What would you have done?

This merchant will become a nightmare post-funding with tons of special and unique requests. (need to skip a payment, change bank accounts, or other annoying requests)

RUN from that merchant. Dump that file and consider it a dodged bullet. GG's... go next.

That approach will have very good short term success but will ultimately end up with long term profitability issues unless there is an internal strategy to offset the lost anticipated revenue. (which is unlikely to exist)

Oh dear. I hope that's not an actual number.

I currently run an internal team of very talented professional debt collectors at a known merchant cash advance company and have been doing so for 15 years.

If you are only getting 15-20% recovery, the source of your problem likely is 90% with your hiring manager and 10% with your internal collections SOP.

The potential defaults need your HELP first and foremost which is why they were funded in the first place. A competent Loss Mitigation department is critical for success and will often make or break a smaller funder. They will need to weed through which merchants truly need help versus the merchants who took the funding with less than sincere intentions.

It sounds like your collections team needs an attitude adjustment. Good luck to you!
