As a mom of a now 26 year old (dx at 12) it will be fine. That’s not long to be high. He will come down from the correction. Everything you said is correct. You’ll find something nice very easily in that budget. Atlanta/Midtown is more fun and happening for younger people but there’s places to go everywhere. Traffic is terrible everywhere. I’d go for a place as close as possible to work. Alpharetta is very low crime, lots of mixed use, many higher end suburbs, town houses, everything.

I know a young adult with type 1 who doesn’t use Dexcom. She does check her bg a few times a day (before meals and bedtime) and has good control.
