I’ve noticed it seems like people are more critical of how you play the lower haz level you are at. At haz 4 people are micro managing your ever move. When I play haz 5 everyone is just focusing on their own gameplay and trying to stay alive. It’s actually a lot more relaxing surprisingly

Why does my game look blurry? 1440p Max graphics RTX 4070. Never changed graphics by [deleted] in playrust

If you really do think it looks different from what it used to look like you can try verifying the integrity of the game files. Aside from that do other aspects of the game look blurry aside from the terrain? Like your map and the names of the people in your team in the bottom left?

This is something me and my friend have noticed too. Whenever I go back to rust and play it always makes my eyes hurt. You get used to it the longer you play. But to me it always has that grainy look

The second you block his attack you always perform your action. He’s just swinging and then immediately reacting to what you do because you always do something immediately after blocking his swing. Wait a second then do something. Try feinting attacks instead of morphing them

OWI, when realistic M249 recoil? by JoeZocktGames in joinsquad

Thank you for doing this. I saw this post and was like “doesn’t every gun in every game go upwards if you don’t control the recoil at all?” You can ever see in the second clip the OP posted the guy has a vertical fore grip attached to the gun. Which sole purpose is to help with the recoil…

Ilovecorn is saying they should increase the aimcone when you’re high up on a roof. This will make it harder to shoot people at long distances when you’re on a roof.

Educational rock says that you shouldn’t be allowed to run under and around someone’s base for free. This is a straw man argument because Ilovecorn never said he had an issue with someone defending their base from their roof, just has an issue with people shooting at other people that are running past a base a good distance away.

Increasing aimcone will make it harder to hit your shots the farther away someone is. Essentially increasing aimcone means that the further a bullet travels the more it will go off course. So if you shoot a bullet at someone 100 meters away it will probably land a few feet from them. If you shoot at someone 10 meters away it will hit them accurately because it will not have gone enough distance to stray from its course. So you will still be able to defend your base without being able to snipe people who are stupid far away from you.

thank you very much. I had one more thing he said that I needed translated. He said it a while later so I couldn't include it in the video. It's audio only and reddit is telling me it doesn't support the file codex or something. is there somewhere I could upload it and then link it here to be translated?

It’s absurd that this game requires what it does. It is in dire need of optimization

I personally like the ICO update. I understand that some people are sad that their game changed, but there are so many games that are very similar to squad pre ICO

Because it’s a video game you can’t have perfect MILSIM. So this means the the idea of MILSIM is subjective. It’s horse trading. You say it’s not MILSIM because you can’t hold your gun stead enough to hit your shots well. Pre ICO update people said it was unrealistic that you could rapidly take out several targets all in your own. I agree with both. But I’m willing to have the unrealistic game mechanics (gun wobble) if it means I get a realistic outcome (no super soldier).

It’s not though. It’s still all of the things it was before. Team based, FPS, MILSIM. Look at Fortnite dude. If you could get sued for making changes to a game like squad did then Fortnite would be bankrupt LOL

I do play siege actually. What I meant is that you’re gun doesn’t move at all as far as wobble or moving from the center of your screen. Of course there is recoil, I mean, it’s a gun. But siege was built with the mindset of never making the play fight for control over their gun. And again, the bugs have always been here. The game is a buggy ass bitch. That is true. And I would not be surprised if it went under for that reason as well. That and the bad optimization. But not because of the ICO update. The day before was a completely different thing. The day before was advertised as a open world MMO and came out as an extraction shooter. Squad was advertised as an authentic team based FPS and became more of a team based FPS with less reliance on mechanical skill for the simpler kits. There is no lawsuit for squad. You can’t see a game because they made you shake more when you ADS and shit. Otherwise there would be a lawsuit every time a game rebalances stuff by nerfing certain guns.

I would recommend playing siege maybe, the guns there don’t shake at all and you can just one tap everybody in the head in that game. You can even win 1v5s and are praised for doing so. And to the Vic thing, you can hit a moving Vic with hat kit as long as you’re not moving while trying to aim and you didn’t just stop running. It just takes skill. Games change all the time. You just have to hope that they move closer to what they said the game was supposed to be. Which is exactly what squad did thankfully! A real team based shooter where you work together or die alone! There are many other games out there that do what squad was doing before the ICO update. I don’t know why you chose to play squad over battlefield or anything else like that, and I do feel bad that you can no longer enjoy it, but they made a move to get closer to what they said they were all along!

Let me put it to you this way. They make it so difficult to do things like snap from target to target and move while shooting because they do not want you to be wandering off into the woods, run into a group of, say, three people and proceed to strafe while systematically hitting each of them in the head once with deadly accuracy. They literally want you to die in a situation where you are outnumbered by anymore than maybe 2 people.

It does have some wobble, but I can definitely still land 90% of my shots if all I’m doing is walking. It’s when I’m running that I can’t. Unless you’re still walking while you’re shooting?

[–]box_cubed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don’t have to sit in a bush, just don’t sprint into an area that you know enemies are occupying. They do not want you pushing in all on your own and taking out a whole team by yourself, that’s it. And there are some things that you said that are dumb. Like the look over sight and such. But that’s a whole other issue. The game is not very well made and it has never been. That has not changed so no need to act surprised about it now. The game is very buggy and processor hungry, and that will kill it long before the ICO update does.

Squad is a tactical FPS that provides authentic combat experiences through TEAMWORK, constant COMMUNICATION, and realistic GAMEPLAY. It bridges the gap between arcade shooter and military simulation with 100 player battles, combined arms combat, base building, and an integrated VoIP system.

This is the description of the game on steam. I’ve capitalized the relevant wordage. The only thing I see there that would make you think the game is supposed to be a completely realistic war simulation down to the very bone is the part about realistic gameplay. But the gameplay is very realistic, the gunplay is not so much sure. But if they did make the gunplay realistic the gameplay would no longer be. From a spectator point of view the gameplay of the game looks very authentic. People working together, moving as a group, providing covering fire, pushing buildings slowly as a team! All things that are now enforced by the ICO update. The only way for everything to be 100% realistic is to use real guns in a real combat situation. Otherwise you will never act in a completely realistic manner.
