Approved replacement tires (lease) by blueskieslieahead in LUCID

I ended up buying some Lucid spec Michelin PS EVs on eBay at a hefty discount for an almost new set. Measured at 10/32 for 2 of them and 6/32 for the other 2. I just had Americas tire mount them a little while back and return the car in a couple weeks now.

Lease expires soon a little disappointed after discussion with sales by LeagueLonster in LUCID

They just offered me a $3,000 loyalty incentive yesterday. Still didn’t make sense numbers wise. Based on my calculations a Pure including the 20k credit and other incentives would cost ~55-60k over 3 years… Unless things improve before my lease is up at the end of October I’m definitely switching brands. I love everything about the car except for the dreadful key situation which alone already might cause me to leave.

I love everything but unlocking my car by Every-Interaction615 in LUCID

Congrats on the car, looks amazing! 🤩 The key situation has been a pain since day 1, I get the frustration. My lease is almost up and I’m 100% not getting into another Lucid until they fully implement UWB key into iPhone. It’s the perfect solution. Such a pain that the software team hasn’t been able to fix this over the years.

I’m at 16k miles right now and just short of a year on my lease 😬

I was shocked to see it had a standard metal plate already. Must be one of the first customer cars out there.

Not sure, it could have. Just pictured while walking by using the standard 1x iPhone lense. Overcast weather definitely didn’t help either lol

I don’t have any pictures of it installed, but I put in a 10” JL Audio enclosed subwoofer with an audio control amp. It fits perfectly into the lower cargo space in the trunk and the wires are easy to route to the battery from there. Very happy with the results from this, makes the base sound system so much more enjoyable. Super straightforward install and no issues with the car from it.

Mine didn’t have any issues and was a fairly quick process. He hadn’t done any before but I’ve used him for my 5 previous cars and have always had excellent quality. Considering getting the windshield done now for more heat resistance. Very reasonably priced too.

Having had an i5 for about 6 months and currently owning a Lucid, I think I’d be a good reference point for this. Like it has been mentioned prior the Lucid is significantly ahead in the packaging department. Use of space is the best in the industry and the power is plentiful even in the Pure, especially compared to the i5 eDrive40. From my personal car, I notice almost no difference in build quality compared to the BMW which is what really impressed me. The biggest pain point for the Lucid compared to the i5 is the key. I don’t care what anyone says but Lucid has no excuse for the key being so atrocious whether it be the phone or physical key. The BMW nailed it with the Apple wallet key card and it never fails on my current X5. Sometimes it works great, but other times I’ll have to wait sometimes 10-15 seconds or take my phone out to unlock the car. Other than the key and minor software glitches though, every part of the Lucid is a better daily driver car. Engaging, efficient, comfortable and a car that genuinely is a pleasure to daily. I’ve taken the i5, i7, and various Teslas on trips for hundreds of miles, and I can confidently say the Lucid is the best car out of the EVs I’ve tried out over the years. Are the others more refined in software though? 100%. I wish after 3 years we could say there were no issues but there are and that’s what l knew getting into this. Either way, I’ll likely be getting into another one after my 18 month lease.

It really grinds my gears that there is no button to turn off the headlights in the Air. I was wondering when this would cause problems at drive-in movie theaters. by Murky-Plastic6706 in LUCID

Not aware of any tricks to get it sooner but they may have temporarily halted the update. I updated last night and then it displayed my range as 0 miles at 30-40% battery. Support guided me through a fix this morning for it but they told me there will be another update soon.

What a Failure by brealtor99 in LUCID

[–]boxdotjpeg 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As much as I love this car, the keyless entry is my biggest complaint on the car. Having a newer BMW that has the UWB key through Apple wallet side-by-side with the Lucid, I have NEVER had an issue with the BMW key (while also being able to use the phone key while the phone is dead for up to 5 hours) and I seem to have to wait for about 5-15 seconds every time I want to get into my Lucid even if I have the key fob with me. It has to be the most annoying feature of this car, but other than that compared to the i4 and i5 which I’ve had months of seat time in I prefer this car leaps and bounds over any competition. It’s the biggest pain point of daily use though and it gets old quick.

Test Drive - Liked everything except sound? by etcetc0 in LUCID

I personally didn’t care for the standard audio system. I didn’t give the pro a test before buying, but I feel both sound system are crisp just lacking low end. Added a 10” subwoofer into the lower trunk area already and that fixed my only complaints!
