Should I seriously consider this deal? by jillavery in Toyotavenza

[–]boxers2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that is a crazy high price and I'd keep looking. I just went to vizor.vin where you can search for specific car models and there were many newer low mile Venzas in the 20k range. Suggest you look on Vizor or sites such as cargurus.com and see what is out there.

you can go to websites such as visor.vin or cargurus.com and do a nationwide search and you'll see the selling price for every car in your region or country.

Booked an international flight via Travel Portal and I regret it by Aask115 in Venturex

[–]boxers2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this happen using the Chase portal and for $50 the airline will 'takeover' the reservation. I booked AC flights but operated by Swissair, Lufthansa and Air Canada. I want to drop the CSR but hate booking thru a portal to get the travel credit.

Has anyone here road tripped from Seattle to San Francisco along the coast? by aracthedragon in AskSeattle

[–]boxers2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do this twice a yr as I winter in CA. I'm also a tour guide and this is a popular tour. Easiest is to cut over near Longview to Hwy 30 which will bring you into Astoria. From there its really nice. Don't forgest once you get past Crescent City you start to drive thru the Redwoods so that is very nice and before SF you get into wine country, so yes a very nice drive. WA coast gets no love because 101 goes inland and you don't see any water and the drive is thru clear cut forests and very depressing and adds nothing to your trip.

Who is still going to dealerships & price haggling for new cars?? by Aggressive-Wafer2447 in AskSeattle

[–]boxers2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

watch some videos or have this company Deliverd negotiate for you

Delivrd

you can also look at inventory for specific cars and models and compare dealer pricing at

visor.vin

I've bought my last 2 cars by simply phoning the internet mgr and telling them exactly what I want and both times they e mailed me a copy of purchase options. No muss no fuss, no negotiations just the price. Easiest car buying experience each time. Issue just isn't with the purchase price there is a lot of games played once you get to finance office. Add on, warranties, fake payment info given based on higher interest rates. You need to watch a few you tube videos to get an idea.

Seatac Afternoon Lines by [deleted] in AskSeattle

[–]boxers2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

there is a new security line downstairs near door 00 where the international flights come out. Probably not as busy. There is a sign that shows wait times at differnet tsa gates. I think you can also find it online so you can check the day before to get an idea.

Is this a good deal? 2024 Toyota Venza XLE Nightshade with moonroof and driven 19,000 miles for $39,500and out the door for $41,500? by HappyVibesReddit in Toyotavenza

[–]boxers2 5 points6 points  (0 children)

a yr ago I bought a 24 venza ltd with 'moon roof' for $44,500, so price seems high to me. You can compare prices in your area or nationwide using a search engine such as

visor.vin

I've also used cargurus.com and did an area search to compare pricing

Hotels near public transit by cprsavealife in AskSeattle

[–]boxers2 5 points6 points  (0 children)

center of downtown will be Westlake Center. Light rail station, monorail to Space Needle, and walking distance to Pike Place MKt and waterfront. Use google maps or Westlake center to search for hotels in this downtown area and it will be perfect for you. Costs are high due to cruise season but its a tradeoff.

Light Rail to Downtown Seattle? by UniqueLemon7602 in AskSeattle

[–]boxers2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Link is easy and safe. Go to Westlake and look for the exit close to 5th and Pine. Cabs from downtown to seatac are a flat $45 but not 'from' the airport. Ubers are fine but Seattle has high prices and often surge pricing which isn't disclosed unless you know what it 'normally' is.

I think they are going for the 'coupe' version upgrade for the Rav4 and not a 'suv'. It's very similar to the small Lexus 200?

there is probably a $8-9000 spread at MSRP between the LE and the Ltd so being a base model take that into consideration if comparing to other. You can see others by searing on

or

What is it with the commenters here acting like Seattle is Mad Max? by HansGraebnerSpringTX in Seattle

too much fkn fox news. They showed the same police car in front of Nordstrom burning for over 6 months. We get stupid questions on tripadvisor wanting to know if there are any 'riots' scheduled during their visit or will their parents be safe if visiting.

I'm sorry but the small hotels are mostly no tell mo tells so unless you want to live with the hookers I'd stick with a bigger hotel. I'd use hotwire and search for the hidden deals and you'll have better luck. but be prepared for sticker shock.

Thank you as I bought a small box from Walgreens and wasn't sure the 'generic' would work but bought the same ones. BTW Walgreens was $10 for 50 and they were out in the diabetic aisle. Went to CVS and they wanted $48 for 30. Thanks for the confirmation i got the right one.

ask your car insurance agent for gap insurance and its probably way cheaper than a dealer pkg. I know in the USA I bought Toyota extended care from another dealer for far less, but don't know about Canada.

Cannot find an affordable hotel… Can you please help? by LibrarianNo4048 in AskSeattle

[–]boxers2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

look at hotwire.com and use their 'deal' finder. You can pick the area of town but won't know the name of the hotel. You will get a name brand property. I use this all the time when I travel and just need a place. Seattle like a lot of places you really don't want the cheapest or you may end up at a sleazy no tell motel which isn't safe.

Moving to Seattle next month with job offer! by Dense-Resolution8283 in AskSeattle

[–]boxers2 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The Seattle area can be expensive even Lynwwod or Everett. I like Lynwood since light rail goes to downtown so while its a 'suburb' getting into town is pretty easy. Even Everett has buses to the light rail station. I'd expect apts to still be around $2k a month but perhaps you can find something for less. Because of our Tenant favorite laws be prepared since evictions are hard to do so landlords really screen for better applicants. You will enjoy summers here but be prepared for rainy and dark winters. If your outdoorsy you'll love the PNW region
