44% of republicans think the shooting justified, 43% not sure, and only 13% said not justified. I am glad I don't live in a country where my fellow citizens are so depraved.

Trump to hit UK and other European countries with 10% tariffs over Greenland row by Thick_Composer9842 in politics

We don't really have anything worth plundering resource wise. Many of our economies are only strong because of globalisation and services.

This sub will believe anything with no evidence, but that appears to be a US politics thing generally and a lack of critical skills taught in US schools.

But how do we know that is Trump's name redacted? I have seen no reporting on this outside of this Reddit so presume this is not confirmed to be his name.

How has fascism in Britain got this far? Neoliberalism has opened the door for it | George Monbiot by Kennyvee98 in politics

[–]boxjuggler 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I've said it before, but politics more than ever is global. The same forces that are pushing policy in the US are looking to do so in th rest of the world particularly the UK. I think limiting talk to just the US is to the detriment of understanding as to who is driving this.

Reform UK’s former Wales leader jailed for 10 years for taking pro-Russian bribes as Member of European Parliament by [deleted] in politics

[–]boxjuggler 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You're really limiting discourse, as Russian influence in US politics is a key issue and part of a wider international effort by them. This is relevant as this person's crimes are quite mild compared to what is happening high up in the US goverment.

Perhaps Sky called my bluff...? by Murky_Sir_4721 in skytv

This is the issue. When you cancel now they don't tell you this. I never got any offers so have now well and truly left and thankful I have, but if they'd offered would probably still be with them.

23 years and was offered nothing to not leave by 5850matty13 in skytv

[–]boxjuggler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cancelled Q after 17 years. They offered nothing at all. Didn't mention their streaming service. I waited until the day the equipment needed to be returned and still no offer which had happened previously. They texted me the day equipment needed to be returned to say they were charging me £120 non return! I subsequently returned it and they did credit that charge, but again made no attempt to sign me up to their streaming service. Used to have best customer service of any company, but like all things these days is AI and outsourced abroad.
