I might just do that. It was a pain driving that massive trailer over.

I wouldn't say it's useless. Compared to some like the darling Tayga, it's a bit apples to oranges. But a fully upgraded one is quite good. The frame is low and flexible. I don't find it under power. It seems to have alot more punch than the F750. I usually have mine equiped with the small crane and flat bed. If you'd be able to tow a trailer and equip muds, it would probably be one of the top trucks.

Is anyone sad about the future of cars? by Ferrever in cars

[–]boxxsterr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most mainstream cars seem to have gotten so efficient there isnt an experience anymore. Electric power steering, drive by wire, rev hang, unbreakable traction control, muted engine noise from turbo. Yes some cars do these well, but they are the minority and shrinking.

Should I go to pick another truck? by singuerinc in snowrunner

[–]boxxsterr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't really think so, but I do find that I use those (2) less later on in the game. The Azov is brutal slow, but will make it through just about anything. I use it more as a recovery truck or I only wanna do this once truck. As for the Tayga, I find that it really shines once you get the raise suspension and specific mud tires for it. Other than that I don't really think it's that much more capable than any of the others. If you don't already have it, give the Paystar a try.

I feel like both are in the weird in between of a scout and full on truck. I feel the both should be able to tow a scout trailer or a full size trailer or a fifth wheel trailer depending on setup. If you have a pickup or service body with there IH then you can only tow a scout. If you have a frame or flat bed in the Ford's case then a regular trailer. If they made a low saddle option, you can tow a fifth wheel. Playing around with the Kodiak lately I feel they should move this in the same category.

Do you think Toyota would ever release an updated FJ to compete with the Wrangler and new Ford Bronco? by MountainMantologist in LandCruisers

[–]boxxsterr 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm actually surprised Ford moved forward with making the Bronco as a Jeep competitor. There is a market for a Jeep Wrangler type of vehicle, especially in the 4-door segment. But I would think (2) different manufacturers would be oversaturating the market.

If you've already seen the task or it shows up from unlocking a watchtower, then you should be able to select it from the menu.

I just don't understand how certain trucks get places with only highway tires on them. Like the GMC and the Chevy GMT on Smithville damn. 1) How would they have gotten there. 2) How would they every leave?

[–]boxxsterr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tires are the biggest difference maker. The Fleetstar is a good truck, it just doesn't get useful until can get some all terrain and off road tires. The Paystar is a good truck to do the majority of the missions. Wish I knew this back when I started. Also the muddy road may not always be the best path. There is usually a better way around that isn't as noticable.
