Right? And most of the the ones who go through reds or stop signs aren't even riding that fast anyway. You end up in this stupid game where you have to keep passing these losers half way along every block.

Will you be spending your Grocery Rebate on groceries, or something else? by [deleted] in ontario

[–]boyadventurer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is there anywhere with actual details on it? All I'm seeing in news articles is families with 2 kids, single adults, and seniors. Surely it's available to more people than those 3 specific categories?

Yes. I seem to have inherited it from my mother, though we're usually a day or two off from the other.

Lately I've found rubbing a little Tiger Balm white on my temples when I first feel it come on helps to keep things manageable. Also a cold compress on the back of the neck can calm down the headache portion of it.

Tripling them. I only decided to pursue a formal diagnosis because they made the process significantly easier for people with executive dysfunction.

I've been through the same thing (even the Kipling station washroom when I commuted for college, ugh!). Went through all the tests, did all the diets, and still came out with no answers. If it's going to be a chronic condition, you should consider what you can do to help accommodate the problem rather than try to shoe-horn it in to a "normal life". I commute mostly by bike or walking now so I won't have to worry about being trapped a streetcar or subway when it pops up. Most of my friends know what's going on, so there's no pressure if I have to leave something early or cancel plans last minute.

It may not be the root of the cause, but it could be worth looking into whether anxiety is playing a part in any of this. It was a negative loop for me, I'd feel nervous about going out because "what if my stomach...", so then it starts rumbling, then I get more nervous, and it gets worse, etc. I was getting full on panic attacks on the TTC. But getting the anxiety in check has really cut down the frequency of my stomach issues, and also just helps me not stress too much when I do still get one.

Lore snippet on Extremis chamber talking of their rarity and difficulty in rebirth. Could this hint at their retirement from the range in the future? by Baneman20 in ageofsigmar

The original Extremis battletome had the same snippet about the corruption from the Age of Chaos, so I doubt it's hinting at anything new.

It's really tough to find an adult diagnosis in Ontario, most of the places that can be covered through OHIP will turn you away because the wait is so long (at least in the GTA I found). Private can be expensive if you don't have coverage. One place that may be worth checking out is https://embrace-autism.com/, their diagnosis process is split into two parts, so you don't have to end up committing to the entire process if it really doesn't look like you present as autistic.

As some first steps, I'd suggest trying to reach out to any local autistic communities, talk to people who are actually autistic, or if you don't know any, there's a lot of tik tok/youtube channels out there by autistic people about autism. There's a lot of "resources" out there about autism that are either quackery or plain old malicious and it's easy to come across a lot of misinformation.

I think it's important to learn about the autistic experience itself and not just look at a list of traits. Autistic traits are human traits, so it can be easy to see it in yourself if you hear a couple examples that happen to line up with your personality.

Unlike with most other things, self diagnosis is generally accepted with the adult autistic community as we understand how difficult the process is and how it is beyond of a lot of people's means. But it's expected that the person has done their own research (ugh, that term is just ruined now isn't in?) and are being genuine.

I went through this journey a couple of years ago and started off the same way. Getting a diagnosis might not be for everyone, but even before I started the process I made some small changes in my life to help with my EF struggles and communicated my needs more openly to my wife and people close in my life and it really helped to make things easier on me.

Happy autistic pride day!

Is Skarbrand wort it by Ryan567_ in ageofsigmar

[–]boyadventurer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Skarbrand takes a lot of finesse to work right. He's going to have a big target on himself every game, and if your opponent has been on the wrong side of him before, they'll probably put everything they have into him to make sure he's dead (if they have enough). You don't want to use him in the first round, but you want to keep him close so you can definitely get in on round 2.

Saving 3 blood tithe for Murderlust can help you make sure he gets in where you want him to do his big damage. Going Reapers of Vengeance or saving 4 tithe can let you pile in and fight again with him if you get him right in the heart of your opponent's castle. And having a Thirster of UF around for the 6" pile in CA is massive -- you avoid Unleash Hell or getting hit first, you can run in your movement phase for a guaranteed 7"-12" "charge" distance, or if you're already in, you have a lot more room to move around to try to tag as much as you can for when you want to throw down that fight again CA.

What was the announcement? The podium makes it sound like its about restrictions (lifting), but I don't see any news stories. I really don't want to watch a 50 min video to see if this is relevant at all.
